Due to a forecast of inclement weather, Henrico County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21. All 12-month and C&M employees report on time.

Additional information about testing and other special events will be forthcoming as decisions are made. We encourage you to keep checking the main HCPS website at www.henrico.k12.va.us for information as it becomes available.

OPTIONAL Event:
I am reaching out to our local Cub and Boy Scouts about the upcoming Scout Day Basketball game we have scheduled for this season! We have great discounted ticket prices available for local Cub and Boy Scouts, as well as their families. Our Scout Day basketball game will be on Saturday, January 18 for the Richmond vs. Dayton game. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 pm in the Robins Center arena. We have exciting pre-game events scheduled for the scouts which I have listed below:

Cub Scouts: Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in a Pre-Game Belt Loop Clinic . This one hour basketball clinic will begin at 1:30pm and will cover the requirements for the Basketball Belt Loop. Cub Scout Belt Loop Clinic is limited to the first 50 Cub Scouts to purchase tickets!!

Boy Scouts: Boy Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in the Pre-Game Fan Tunnel formation, where the Scouts will line up and cheer on the Spiders as the team enters the court. Boy Scout Fan Tunnel is limited to the first 60 Boy Scouts to purchase tickets!!

Scout Day tickets are only $7 for scouts and their families (a portion of each ticket sold will benefit the Heart of Virginia Council). The first 150 Scouts to register will receive the 2013-14 Spiders Patch. I have attached a flyer and signup sheet to this email, please review this information and let me know any questions you have.
