"When Lives Are On The Line, I Answer The Call Of Duty" National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2013: April 14 - April 20; ”Dial 0 for emergencies” was popular until the beginning of 911 history, which became the official emergency response line in 1968. The work of these “unseen first responders” is invaluable in emergency situations, and each of these dedicated men and women deserves our heartfelt appreciation. A January 25, 1994 Joint Resolution: "Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America assembled to designate the week beginning April 11, 1994, as "National Public Safety Telecommunications Week"". From then on, the second full week of April officially recognizes and honors our unseen first responders of emergency Police, Fire and Medical Responses and the critical role that dispatchers play in keeping us all safe. True Blue Warriors would like to thank all of our Emergency Telecommunicators for their dedication to service. Due to the recent events involving police officers being killed in the line of duty, it seems it's open season on law enforcement. As a law enforcement officer myself, I'm compelled to remind my brethren to come home the same way they get to work...stay ever vigilant to fight the good fight the next day until you retire...God Bless you all, I'm proud to stand next to you and call you my brother in blue...
