💙 We’re Still Pushing Toward Our Goal!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, or supported us along the way. This is our first official fundraising initiative, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish together.

We’re extending our Legacy Week Fundraiser through the end of August as we continue working toward our goal. The funds raised will directly support our annual programs and community initiatives, helping us keep these opportunities free and accessible to the families, youth, and community members we serve.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us keep the doors open to these opportunities. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.

Let’s finish our first official fundraiser strong! 🙌🏽

Donate. Share. Support the Legacy.

Together, we can keep our programs free, accessible, and rooted in community. 💙

💸 Kids + money = a lesson they’ll actually enjoy! 💸

Financial empowerment is one of our core pillars, and we believe those lessons should start early.

Join us for Dollars N’ Sense on August 29 from 12–2 PM for a fun afternoon where kids will learn the basics of saving, spending, and making smart money choices through interactive activities.

Learning about money doesn’t have to be boring and building a financial legacy starts young! 💚

What if one conversation could change someone’s financial future? 💸

That’s exactly what happens at Money Monday.

Money Monday is where the community comes together to learn, ask questions, and gain real tools for budgeting, saving, homeownership, credit, investing, and building generational wealth. And the best part? It’s completely free for everyone who attends.

We believe financial education should be accessible, not a privilege.

But we can’t do it without you.

When you give, you’re helping us keep Money Monday free and opening the door for more individuals and families to take control of their financial future.

Every dollar makes a difference. Every gift creates opportunity. Every supporter helps build a stronger legacy.

Donate today and invest in the future of our community. We can still meet our goal with your help!

Money Monday was nothing short of inspiring!💸✨

The energy in the room was incredible, and everyone left feeling motivated to take control of their financial legacy. We’re so grateful to create opportunities like this where our community can learn, connect, and build a stronger financial future together.

A huge thank you to People’s Bank and Ark Financial Strategies for sharing their knowledge and empowering our attendees with practical tools and resources.

With the continued support of our community and financial leaders, we can keep providing events like this free of charge and make financial education accessible to everyone.

Here’s to building wealth, creating legacy, and investing in our future, together. 💚

Legacy Week 2026 reminded us of something powerful, legacy isn’t just something we leave behind; it’s something we choose to build every day. 💙

What an incredible week it was! We celebrated our annual programs, connected with our community, shared resources, prioritized wellness, strengthened financial futures, and honored the lasting impact of Maggie L. Walker’s vision. To everyone who attended, volunteered, partnered, donated, and cheered us on thank you for making this year’s Legacy Week so meaningful.

Because of the excitement and support surrounding Legacy Week, our Legacy necklaces are back!

More than jewelry, each necklace is a symbol of purpose, community, and the commitment to leave our neighborhoods stronger than we found them. Every purchase helps support the year-round programs of the St. Luke Legacy Center, including Money Monday, Wellness Wednesday, The Fourth Trimester, and Protect In Peace.

Wear your legacy.
Share your legacy.
Help us continue building legacy together.

✨ Legacy Week fundraising continues through August 12, so there’s still time to make an impact through a donation or by purchasing a Legacy necklace.

Remembering Andrew Kareem Giles Jr. 🤍

Today would have been Andrew’s 21st birthday—a moment to hold both joy and grief, and to celebrate the life he lived so fully. Andrew was someone who built things—literally and figuratively. He loved Legos, dreamed big, and once told his class he wanted to grow up to be “34 and a dad.” It was specific, funny, and so *him*—thoughtful, creative, and unforgettable.

Friday evening, his family will honor him with a lantern release by the ocean—21 lights sent into the sky as a reflection of the love he continues to inspire. In that same spirit, they are bringing his legacy forward through the launch of Mind Over MatterZ, creating space for young people to feel seen, supported, and empowered through life’s challenges.

At St. Luke Legacy Center, we carry Andrew with us in our work. As a participant and advocate in our Protect in Peace: Youth Weapons & Violence Prevention Program, he believed in safer communities and stronger support for young people. That belief continues to guide us.

This Saturday, Protect in Peace programs continue here in Richmond. It’s one of the ways we can turn remembrance into action—by showing up, building community, and investing in our youth with care and intention.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is your moment. Join us. Learn more. Be part of the work that surrounds our young people with the support they deserve.

We honor Andrew not just in memory, but in what we build moving forward. 🕊️
