🚶‍♂️If you’re heading out to the Varina LandLab this weekend, you may notice some changes. CRLC is working on exciting improvements to the conservation area to improve public access, restore habitat, and protect water quality in Roundabout Creek.

Sunday: Spend Sunday at Brambly Park helping support a proposed permanent public park in Scott’s Addition. The all-day festival features local music, artisan vendors and activities, with performances from Afro-Zen Allstars, Prabir Mehta, Sun V Set and the Jared Stout Band. 11 a.m.-9 p.m. $15-$38. Cool the City & Virginia Interfaith Power & Light are hosting a FREE TREE 🌳giveaway for residents living in Jackson Ward, Northside, Southside, Easte2nd, Church Hill, and Randolph on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00am-2:00pm at the TMC Community Hub (2400 Venable St). Trees available will be: Redbuds, Dogwoods, Pin Oaks, Fringe Trees, and Sweetbay Magnolias. Each person can pick up to three trees to take home! Walk-ups welcome, but advance registration is highly encouraged.

A Labor Day weekend festival at Brambly Park will help close the gap on a $600,000 goal to turn a former garden center into Christie's Garden.
