Today is my 30th Anniversary as the founder and executive officer of Ecology Crossroads Cooperative Foundation which was founded on April 12, 1994. Now I can finally say, "I have 30 years of experience as an environmental advocate, defender and engineer."

Most impressive are the new roads we are about to take in South America and in Kentucky in the next 10 days. Just like we were opening again for Earth Day with Arbor Day a few days later.

Ecology Crossroads Cooperative Foundation post-pandemic should know that our organization, founded in 1994, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a 509(a)(1) public charity that is operated by its board of trustees. All of our initiatives, missions, programs and projects are operated by our subsidiary cooperative Globcal International and all of them are 100% tax-deductible under Canadian, US and European Law; all programs comply with the UN SDG Action Campaign, US Climate Policy and the Paris Agreement.

Ecology Crossroads Cooperative Foundation was officially reinstated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in January 2020 under IRS Tax Exempt ID 61-1259384. Later the same month we assumed control of Globcal International and began working with Indigenous Planet, the International Indigenous Unity Flag, Indigenous Peoples' Day, the Huottuja Foundation, various environmental awareness events and the UN SDG Action Campaign.

Join us in the coming months in creating Nature-based Solutions for investments in philanthropy with newly formed Indigenous governments, they are very serious about conservation and biodiversity. Please look at and review our new official profiles on Guidestar by Candid, on Idealist and Google.

We are very pleased with the results being produced by our merger with Globcal International in 2020. This new project provides us with an endowment for nature for an area the size of Belgium. A very good program doing business directly with the source.

Globcal International is very humbled to take on the legal responsibilities of the Huottuja Foundation - Piaroa internationally in respect to activities focused on Global Goals for Sustainable Development and the World Environment Partnership.

Globcal International will be developing Indigenous Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) Contracts with persons and corporations which will be very beneficial to contributors with very high yields on Nature-based Solutions Credits (carbon credits) to combat climate change. We will be following the guidelines established by the World Resources Institute in this article.

Support our efforts to defend the intellectual property rights and traditional knowledge of the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas also known as Amerindians and Native Americans. Join us in our fight to recover lost revenue, stolen intellectual property and seek justice so that these people can behold their self-respect.

22 U.S. Code § 262p–4o - Respect for indigenous peoples “The Secretary of the Treasury shall … bring about the creation and full implementation of policies designed to promote respect for and full protection of the territorial rights, traditional economies, cultural integrity, traditional knowledge and human rights of Indigenous peoples.”

Executive Order 14008, of January 27, 2021 also supports Indigenous peoples rights in their forest homes!

About our Organization

Established in Kentucky in 1994 by David J. Wright of Lexington where the organization began as a project to provide millions of free trees to homeowners following a major disaster.

Our objectives have been established and set forth to address global and international ecological, conservation, and environmental concerns and needs including tree based carbon reserves, air, water, natural ecology, wildlife habitat preservation and biodiversity in/of sensitive and endangered global biospheric production areas, specifically in the northern equatorial rainforests of Amazonia, the Guiana Shield and Africa where the greatest needs for sustainable ecological services have been identified. Our purposes include preservation advocacy of the planet’s natural order through wildlife conservation, habitat protection, education, the advancement of science and filling the collective common needs of all of natural inhabitants living under free, wild and primitive conditions.

As an organization that is cooperative by nature we work to build team based groups among volunteers and official members to accomplish our goals as specified by our Articles of Incorporation on file in Frankfort, Kentucky since 1994. In 2020 we reinstated our organization and are in the process of updating and amending our original purposes to be more relevant with our organization today. The organization is currently in Good Standing through 2024 and operates two formal commissions “Globcal International” and “Kentucky Colonels International” which are both ongoing developments of our organization which hold legal standing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and are decentralized online with members from around the world.
