A family in our community needs support. On October 8, a father of four was detained by ICE here in Richmond. He was the main provider for his household, and his wife is now working to keep things stable for their children (ages 13, 11, 8, and 3) while searching for full-time work.

The family is raising $30,000 to cover his deportation defense and legal costs, as well as basic household needs for the kids.

Every donation helps, no matter the size. If you can’t give, please share this post. Getting the word out matters just as much.

Una familia de nuestra comunidad necesita apoyo. El 8 de octubre, un padre de cuatro hijos fue detenido por ICE aquí en Richmond. Él era el principal sostén de su hogar, y ahora su esposa está trabajando para mantener la estabilidad de sus hijos (de 13, 11, 8 y 3 años) mientras busca empleo de tiempo completo.

Our community has always shown up for each other, and right now a local family needs us.

After unexpected hardship, this family has fallen behind on their PG&E bill, and they’ve been without electricity and gas for a full month, with a baby and young children at home. Mom cooks and sells food to support the family, so losing gas and power has also cut off part of their income.

They’ve reached out to PG&E and were told service won’t be restored until the balance is paid. Once the lights are back on, both parents are working and ready to keep up with the monthly bills. They just need help clearing this debt.

Every dollar brings them closer to a warm, safe home again. If you can’t give, please share. Getting this in front of the right person could make all the difference.

Nuestra comunidad siempre se ha apoyado mutuamente, y en este momento una familia local nos necesita.

Tras dificultades inesperadas, esta familia se ha atrasado con su factura de PG&E y lleva un mes entero sin luz ni gas, con un bebé y niños pequeños en casa. La mamá cocina y vende comida para mantener a su familia, así que quedarse sin gas ni electricidad también les ha quitado parte de sus ingresos.

CA Association of Realtors: $254.2M
