Pack 2014 will be hosting our first Pinewood Derby. Come on out to support your scouts!

Checkin will be from 9am-11am. If scouts are participating, it is strongly suggested they arrive at checkin early to make sure their cars meet weight requirements. Lion Scouts will be running a soapbox race. We will also be having Outlaw Class races where anyone can participate- scouts, siblings, and parents! Concessions will be available and proceeds will go to the pack.

At this week’s Cub Scout meeting, the Scouts learned all about bike safety before taking their bikes for a ride. They talked about the importance of wearing helmets, using hand signals, and making sure their bikes are ready to go before hitting the road. After the quick safety lesson, the Scouts got to ride together and practice what they learned. It was a fun, active meeting and a great way for everyone to build confidence while enjoying time on their bikes!

A $20 donation earns you a delicious bag of popcorn, while a $25 donation gets you tasty peanuts or a box of microwave popcorn. Not a fan of popcorn or peanuts? We also collect Heros and Helpers donations, where donations are split between Scouts, the military, and first responders. Every donation helps, and all amounts are welcomed and appreciated! 🙌

You can place your order online or in person at one of our storefront locations. Proceeds go directly to Scout activities like camping adventures, Pinewood Derbies, and trips to places like the aviation museum 🏕🛩

Beyond the fun, fundraising also helps Scouts build valuable intrapersonal skills that will last a lifetime. 💡

Our recent Raven Run camping trip was a huge success, filled with adventure, learning, and family fun. Scouts practiced fire safety skills and used what they've learned about Leave No Trace and the six camping essentials, showing how their lessons apply to real world. Families are always encouraged to join in and everyone enjoyed spotting plenty of wildlife throughout the trip, from playing with bugs to seeing jackrabbits.

Camping is one of the most important parts of Cub Scouting. It not only teaches valuable outdoor skills, but also builds confidence, teamwork, and lasting memories that scouts and their families will carry for years to come.

Hiking is a favorite activity for our group and we had our first hike of the year this weekend. One of the first things scouts learn is how to enjoy the outdoors safely- and that includes the six essentials:

Our stay at Raven Run began with some of our scouts attending their Monarch Fest! They were able to visit different booths to create their own seed mixes, to learn more about butterflies and local efforts to protect them, and to enjoy some crafts.

Environmental conservation is an essential part of scouting. Pack 2014 teaches our scouts how they can contribute, from following the 'leave no trace' philosophy on our campouts to participating in roadside cleanups.

Come join our pack! Our scouts learn a variety of skills and get to participate in a variety of activities including camping, fishing, and pinewood derbies.
