๐ŸŒŸ The Virginia Breastfeeding Coalition (VBC) is seeking nominations for our Board of Directors โ€” and weโ€™d love for YOU to join us!

Celebrate World Breastfeeding Awareness month by supporting this month long milk donation drive. No worries if you're not local!

A pop up donation drive will be held in Richmond, VA on 8/19/25 from 11am-12:45pm at The Children's Hospital of Richmond. Donors must be pre-approved and schedule their drop off in advance with The King's Daughters Milk bank at 757-668-6455.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we are urgently seeking 20 Infant Feeding Specialists to support the efforts at the Lilac Birth Center in Asheville, NC starting tomorrow, October 5, 2024 at 9:30 AM and on an ongoing basis. The situation is critical, and we need trained support for outreach and education at shelters where mass distributions of formula and bottles are taking place.

Requirements:

Must be an Infant Feeding Specialist (IBCLC, CLC, CLE, LLL, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, etc.)
Must review the Infant Feeding in Emergencies Toolkit prior to deployment. (Link is provided in the google form)
Must bring a photo ID and displays credentials (if available), or print credentials and place them in a plastic lanyard for easy identification.
