Richmond Young Friends Richmond Young Friends is a youth group for Quaker kids and their friends in Richmond, IN. We meet Sundays from 4-5pm.

We have a middle school group for grades 5-8 (“Lightseekers”), and a high school group for grades 8-12.

Hello everyone!

We hope you’ve had a lovely summer and are so excited to kick off this year with you all! We would like to invite you to the start of the year Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 30 at 3pm, which will be at West Richmond Friends Meeting. All members of our community are invited, so please bring anyone you’d like, including family and friends! Please RSVP to [email protected] with the number of people coming and any dietary restrictions so that we can acquire the correct alternatives. After the ice cream, we will plan ahead for the coming year, and welcome any newcomers.

Hi everyone, to end this school year with a celebration, we will be doing an ice cream social this week at West Richmond Friends Meeting from 4-5pm :). It has been a wonderful year of exploration and events, and Zoë and Ollie wish to see you after the summer! With this last meeting, we will sadly be saying goodbye to Indira as she will be going on to the next chapter of her life outside of Richmond.

Thank you to those who came to the last Lightseekers event where we walked the back campus trails and had a delightful picnic with watermelon. The flowers were gorgeous and the trails were fresh because of the rain from the hour before :).

We look forward to seeing you at the ice cream social this week!

For this weekend’s meeting, we will be doing a spring picnic back campus! Both Lightseekers and the high schoolers will be joining for this. We will also be joined by Ollie, our new Lightseekers co-leader for next year.

We will meet at Earlham’s Stout Meeting House from 4-5PM. There is a sign at the entrance, but If you need help getting there, feel free to call Indira at (845)-399-2852

Hi everyone,

We hope you are well and enjoying this lovely spring weather! It was so wonderful getting to learn about bees on the farm, set up a wild bee trap, and taste test honey as the reward! :) 

For this weekend’s meeting, in honor of Earth Day we will be making posters to hang in public spaces reminding people not to litter. We will also be discussing eco-friendly lifestyle swaps and the importance of caring for the Earth. We’ll meet at our usual West Richmond Friends location from 4-5PM. The high school group will once again be joining Lightseekers for this :) We hope to see everyone there!
