Looking through these photos from Triple Crossing B**r - Fulton today, it is impossible not to feel proud of this community.

Look at these smiles. Look at the energy in the room.

When we first started gathering, the goal was simple: swap a few cuttings. But what you have created here is so much bigger than plants.

You built a home. A space where someone trading their very first pothos feels just as welcomed as a collector buying a rare aroid. A room where strangers pull up a chair at a brewery table and walk away as lifelong friends.

Every time you bring plants to share, offer care advice, or welcome a new face to the tables, you are the heart of what makes this community special.

We are currently getting everything ready to pull up the tables all over again very soon. No sales pitch, no pressure... just open tables, great craft b**r, and the best plant family anywhere.

A tip for anyone whose orchid hasn't bloomed in a while: it might not be you, it might be your thermostat.

Phalaenopsis orchids need consistently cool nights, somewhere around 60 to 65 degrees, for a couple weeks straight to trigger a new spike. Most climate-controlled homes stay too steady day and night for that cue to ever kick in.

If your orchid is sitting there green and healthy but flowerless, try cracking a window at night or moving it somewhere a bit cooler for a few weeks. That small temperature shift is often the missing piece.

What a day at River City Roll!

With so many amazing events happening across Richmond this weekend, walking into a room full of plant lovers, both familiar faces and so many new ones, made our whole day.

A massive thank you to River City Roll for opening up their space and being such incredible hosts.

Huge love to all of our local vendors and artists for bringing out such incredible talent, knowledge, and green beauties.

To every single person who came out to swap, shop, or just hang out and talk plants, thank you. You are the heart of this community!

I also want to give a special shoutout to Maks, Nickola and the crew who helped us execute setup. We debuted a brand-new volunteer format alongside our new layout, and having a team that locked in, followed the new structure, and brought the vision to life before check-in even started made all the difference.

RVA Tropical & Exotic Plants is looking for volunteers for our next swap on Sunday, August 9th in Richmond!

Shifts are just one to two hours, so it's an easy way to get involved even if you're short on time. We need help with setup, check-in, vendor support, door prizes, breakdown, and photography.

Comment or send us a message if you can give an hour. New faces welcome, this is a great way to meet the community if you've been thinking about joining us.
