Happy Sunday! Sending all our love and gratitude to each of you for who you are, and your impact on the girls and home! TYJ for your gift of the mission field!

As we come to one of our last few days of Healthy Girl week we get to share a little about their mental health. When the girls come into the home all their trauma is different, some see it, recognize it, and want to navigate through it, some don’t know how, and some it takes months of meeting them where they are at for them to open up. At the home we have a lovely psychologist and social worker who work with the girls daily to navigate through and talk through their trauma. First we ask for your continued prayers as only God can truly transform them and allow them to use their trauma as a testimony and a way to reshape their future fully built on the foundation of Jesus! Thank you Jesus for always providing for the girls. Most girls arrive at POP in a severe state of malnutrition. Since they are victims of neglect, they often eat just once a day. Their diet does not include fruits and vegetables and doesn’t meet daily requirements. Poor nutrition greatly influences their ability to grow and learn. We strive to provide a balanced diet full of nutrients to help them develop physically and mentally, since it is impossible to heal the exterior without treating the interior. We’re so thankful for your continued love and support to be able to give the girls a healthy lifestyle. If you feel led to support their nutrition specifically click the link below! Today is our day to talk over the medical side of health for our girls! They’ve generally had little to no previous professional care of any type before arriving at POP. Qualified medical, psychological, dental, and vision care is provided to help the girls heal and become whole again. We want to create a safe, healthy and happy environment so the girls can thrive and become productive, independent young ladies. In addition to routine care provided, many of the girls have extensive medical needs that require specialty care, such as physical therapy or even surgery. These needs are over and above our regular budgeted costs, but we are compelled to do all we can to restore health and wellness to each girl in our care. Happy Tuesday! Today starts our week long campaign for our sweet girls and their health! Tonight we talk about dental. The majority of our girls have never been to a dentist prior to arriving at POP. Just a basic visit to the dentist can be quite stressful for many of our girls, as it is such a strange environment. We are so thankful to have a local dentist, Dr. Mike, who comes to the home to provide his services to the girls in our on-site clinic. Often times, their teeth are in such a state of decay they must see a specialist for further treatment. We understand that some of you have a special place in your heart for health needs. We hope you consider partnering with us to ensure all girls at POP are healthy! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts🥹🙏🏻💌

The joy of the Lord is our strength! Philippians 4:13;
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Meaning that by allowing the Holy Spirit to live in us and speak through us His joy overflows from us. Even in the parts of life that feel heavy, even in the unforeseen circumstances, even in the heartache, the joy of our God is our strength! Sit and rest in his unwavering presence today! Remind yourselves to be where your feet are! Happy Sunday!🙏🏻
