Join us Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds as we honor the life and sacrifice of K-9 Officer Seara Burton.

💙 The 140 Challenge is open to EVERYONE.
Run it. Walk it. Complete it your way.

•Register by April 19 to guarantee your participant shirt.
•Prices increase on March 29 so don’t wait!

🧡 Seara’s Legacy K-9 Trials are open to registered law enforcement K-9 teams only.

•Departments registering multiple canines or needing alternative payment arrangements can email: [email protected]

Today marks 3 years since Officer Seara Burton paid the ultimate sacrifice. Even though time has passed her presence is still greatly missed. She will forever be a warrior in our eyes🖤💙

This past Sunday, we gathered to honor the 2025 recipients of the Seara Burton Memorial Scholarship. These outstanding students represent the spirit of service and strength that Officer Seara Burton embodied.

Thanks to generous donations raised through the 140 Challenge held last September, this scholarship continues to invest in the future while keeping Seara’s legacy alive. Due to the support we were able to select 14 seniors to receive scholarships totaling $27,000! Award amounts varied for either $1,140 or $3900.

•$1,140 a representation of Seara’s badge number, 140.
•$3900 a refernece to the 39 days she fought.

𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫—𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐊𝟗 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

The 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝟗 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 is more than a competition—it’s a call to stand together as one community, in the name of sacrifice, service, and unity.

𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐧 gave everything for the people of this city. Her legacy continues through the work of the K-9 Officer Seara Burton Foundation, and through every K9 team who shows up tomorrow to honor her memory.

Starting at 11AM, teams from across the region are coming to compete. Let’s come together to show them—and Seara’s family—what this community stands for.
