High school students at last week's Lamar Consolidated ISD Summer Camp CHANGE had a 💥blast💥 with Coach CPR and team!

Under the spectacular leadership of Jennifer Inabnit-Serna, Camp CHANGE is all about -- Creating Hope And Nurturing Genuine Empowerment!✨️

Through the guidance of Houston Fire Department Captain Mike Norwood and his Coach CPR -- Coaching Skills for Life team, participating students had the opportunity to engage in a high-energy, three-hour CPR, AED, and First Aid workshop.

Filled with enthusiasm and laughs, students learned the basics of first aid safety, including getting a chance to practice on each other, along with using the dummies for CPR and AED training. Each walked away with a CPR/FA certification - and a new skillset to add to their resumes!

A special thanks goes out to HFD Firefighters Captain Norwood, Robert Field, Chris Martinez, and Donald Elmer for taking time out of their busy schedules to help youth learn these important skills!

Family Roots for Life, Inc., along with several partners, including Aldo Aguilar, Crystal Harris and team of TDECU, were able to facilitate life skills to participating high school students -- creating an upbeat, engaging atmosphere enabling students to have fun while learning!

Students played thought-provoking games while learning the importance of building and maintaining good credit.
