We’ve already learned so much, and it has been so much fun learning new ways to communicate with one another! We are so grateful for the time, patience, and knowledge you’ve shared with our participants.

Growth isn’t just about doing more, it’s about learning how to do it better!

Today, our Executive Director, Sarah Bamber, spent the whole day at the Broad Oaks Consulting Fundraising Bootcamp, and what a valuable day of learning and connection!

At M.O.R.E. Possibilities, we believe it’s important to continually invest in learning, strengthening our organization, and connecting with others in the nonprofit community.

Broad Oaks Consulting’s “Laying a Foundation for Growth - Your Way” program has already been incredibly beneficial to M.O.R.E. as we grow. Having dedicated time to exchange ideas and walk away with practical, actionable knowledge is invaluable.

Building a strong, sustainable nonprofit takes intentional learning and growth. Investing in our development is ultimately an investment in the adults with IDD and families we serve.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sonya Patel and Shauna Motta to the M.O.R.E. Possibilities Board of Directors!

While their Board roles may be new, Sonya and Shauna are certainly not new to M.O.R.E.

Over the past year, both have volunteered regularly within our programs, built beautiful relationships with our participants and families, and become wonderful advocates for our mission.

Sonya is a regular volunteer and leads our monthly Health & Wellness sessions, bringing her professional experience alongside a genuine connection with our adults.

Shauna is also a monthly volunteer and has spent the past year serving on our Special Events & Fundraising Committee, helping strengthen partnerships and connections throughout our community.

What we especially value in both Sonya and Shauna is their deep belief in inclusion and belonging, that every person, regardless of who they are or where they come from, deserves to be welcomed, valued and included.

We are incredibly grateful they have both said YES to this next commitment to M.O.R.E. and to helping guide us as we continue to grow.

⭐️ Meet the Stars of MORE: Sam! ⭐️

If there’s fun happening at MORE, chances are Sam is right in the middle of it! He truly is the life of the party. He’s friends with everyone, always willing to help, and brings the kind of positive energy that makes people happy just to be around him.

This year, Sam also took on something new! He joined the Sugar Land Space Cowboys Street Team, alongside three other MORE participants who were connected with jobs through MORE. It was a major success, and we loved watching Sam show everyone exactly what he can do. He worked hard, met new people, and brought that same friendly, outgoing personality we know and love at MORE to every shift.

Sam is kind, helpful, positive, and an all-around bright light in our MORE family. We’re so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he does next! 💙⭐️

We loved welcoming Michelle Collins, Director of Customer Experience & Volunteer Services and Interim Director of Women and Children’s Services, and Sarah Poole, Marketing Manager for Memorial Hermann Southwest & Sugar Land, to MORE!

We’re so thankful they took the time to spend the day with us, share their knowledge, answer questions, and learn more about our participants and what we do at MORE.

We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with people in our community who want to learn more about the adults we serve and how we can continue creating opportunities for them to be included, supported, and connected.

At MORE Than a Moment, we premiered a video that we hoped could answer a pretty big question: What does MORE really mean? 💙

And the best way to answer that was to let the people who know MORE best tell you themselves.

Through conversations with our participants, their families, and the people who started MORE, we tried to capture what this community means to the people who are part of it. It’s a place to make friends and try new things. A place to belong. A place where our participants are known and loved for exactly who they are.

If you’ve ever wondered what MORE is or why it matters so much to so many families, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch.

And then, please share it. Share it with your friends, your family, your coworkers, or anyone who might not know that a community like this exists.

The more people who see it, the more people who get to know our participants and understand why places like MORE matter.
