“Prop. 12 protects animals in a way that I believe is good, meaningful, & becoming of our American values. But the question of the ‘Save Our Bacon Act’ isn’t whether or not Prop. 12 is a good law. The question is whether the federal government has the explicit Constitutional authority to override it.

Otherwise, per the 10th Amendment and Barry Goldwater, the goodness determination ‘lies not with the federal government, which is not sovereign, but with the people who are.’”

“Consumers don’t want industrial meat products pumped out by factory farms like the multistory high-rises that Smithfield has pioneered in China. They want to feel good about their food,” Wilberforce Fellow John Cleveland writes in The Post and Courier.

This is our founder, K. Liam Gray, outside Ridglan Farms in Dane County, Wisconsin. Over the weekend, he and many others, sought to rescue the thousands of beagles bred and held captive there to supply research dogs to universities and private labs.

Those private labs and universities are bank rolled by big government. The USDA, NIH, and many more, give millions in grants to support the bred beagle to research lab subject pipeline.

Liam was tear gassed multiple times during this rescue attempt. And despite there being thousands present and millions more online calling for the release of the beagles bred in this facility, there were no dogs rescued on this mission.

But this isn't over. Ridglan Farms has notoriously hurt dogs for years on end and we are all saying enough is enough.

If you're ready to say enough is enough too, follow the link in the comments to stand with us and keep up to date as our campaign to free the Ridglan Farms Beagles continues.
