Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® began as a vision of nine college students on the campus of Howard University. The sorority has grown into a union of thousands of college-trained women who are bound by a powerful mystique, a real moving factor in the lives of students in more than four hundred institutions of higher learning; it is one of the most solvent corporations in the world today.

As Alpha Kappa Alpha has grown, it has kept in balance two very important themes: the importance of the individual and the strength of an organization of women of courage and ability. As the world became more complex, there was a need for associations that cut across racial, geographical, political, physical, and social barriers.

Last weekend members of Rho Eta Omega chapter came together for our chapter retreat, Pretty in Pink: Rooted in Sisterhood & Service. The retreat was a beautiful weekend of connection, sisterhood, and reflection! From engaging activities and meaningful conversations, to strengthening bonds and creating new connections, we took time to pour into one another while honoring the roots that ground our chapter. As we look ahead, we are excited to carry forward the vision of our new administration: Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World. 💕💚
