The rain today didn’t stop the people from showing up to for free shoes from . Close to 100 people from the community were fitted for brand new tennis shoes, 2 pairs of socks, and warm burritos.
There was so much gratitude, selflessness, and community felt. Thanks to Kristin and Robin for organizing this event again.

Today was a good day for doing good things in Ashland, VA. Meals, clothes, shoes and smiles were given out today to families and kiddos.

SevaRVA appreciates the partnerships with others doing good in the community. Carrie and her crew make monthly visits to Ashland helping people living in temporary housing.

☀️ Sunny skies and smiling faces were seen yesterday in Ashland while fun was had and meals were served to families.

Food and fun bring people together creating a community, something these families going thru hard times can really use.

Some people meal prep for the week. Gentry, Sutton and friends? They meal prep for the mission every other Tuesday.

This week, armed with cream cheese, fruit, and highly questionable amounts of foil, these young chefs whipped up roll-ups for the YMCA after-school tutoring program — proving that snacks can be both delicious and a vehicle for hope and thoughtfulness.

Because nothing says “I care about your education” like a strawberry wrapped in a tortilla or ‘butterflies’ filled with grapes and goldfish.

Spring is springing and Carrie and friends were also springing to action today in Ashland to support families of less fortunate circumstances with helpful resources, tasty food, and community. It was such a joy seeing kiddos smile and parents have some relief from worrying about simple things many take for granted. Great work!

So grateful to Renee at Kroger for donating 3 foot long subs today that will be served to families in Ashland tomorrow along with some other tasty treats.

She’s such a gem of a person! People helping people makes sunshine on this rainy day.☀️

Spreading Love, One Meal at a Time! 💚🥕🍀

This weekend, we gathered in Ashland to cook up something special—not just delicious meals, but also joy, community, and a little St. Patrick’s Day fun! From homemade spaghetti to fresh salads and cookies, we worked together to prepare nourishing meals for those in need. And of course, no gathering is complete without a little festive crafting!

At SevaRVA, we believe that small acts of kindness create ripples of impact. Thank you to Carrie leading her crew of incredible volunteers sharing their time, energy, and love to people in less fortunate circumstances. They served food, read books to kiddos, created smiles, and made people feel seen. Together, we’re making a difference—one meal, one smile, and one leprechaun beard at a time! ☘️✨

Big smiles, big hearts, and even bigger impact! Our little volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work whipping up delicious snacks for an after-school program at the Ashland YMCA—our newest community partner! 👏

From homemade muffins 🧁 to healthy trail mix 🥜, these young changemakers are proving that you’re never too young to give back. 💪✨

Grateful to serve today! 🙌💛

Our nonprofit and Sunday school class came together to provide breakfast for families living at a hotel in Ashland—100 egg and cheese burritos, plus plenty of biscuits, cookies, and potatoes. More than just food, we shared kindness, connection, and a reminder that they are not alone.

SevaRVA was busy this morning making meals for families in need in the Ashland area. This was done in the kitchen we’re now using after leaving Hatch. Thanks to all those coming together to do good today.

This event is for kiddos of families in need of a little extra support and focuses on Jesus, fun, food, crafts, reading, and games! It offers two hours of community and discipleship at Slash Christian Church and parents are welcome to stay if they’d like.
