Meet Oliver and Cooper--a sweet bonded pair!

Sweet bonded pair of male Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, owner surrenders. Surrendered to give them more time to get the attention they deserve. Bonded and must stay together. Oliver is a tri male with gorgeous silky fur, 8 yrs old, a little reserved but loves his people. Cooper, the 6-year-old male Blenheim with gorgeous wavy fur, is a real love bug. They love to explore the fenced yard together, but are not the overly active type. Love to walk on leash for short walks, meeting new people and pets, and exploring all the sounds and smells around them. Have not yet met a cat. They’d love to sit on your lap, looking at you adoringly and play with a few chew toys while keeping both you and them entertained. Treat welcome, of course. And they will remind you that they earned it!

They’ve asked for a home where someone is home part of the day so they can live in luxury inside but go out about every 4 hours for a daytime potty break. Fenced yard preferred. Potty trained and they sleep overnight without a crate from 11-6. Will alert when they need to go out. Sleep together on the couch, a dog bed or Mom’s bed. Perfect gentlemen. No need to crate.

Health: heartworm negative, no heart or patella issues

Status: neutered, chipped, current rabies, current on flea and tick as well as heartworm preventatives (NexGard and Milbegard)

Personality: typical of the Cavalier breed. Loving, sweet, patient, no food aggression…and I could say so much more.

Likes: small treats after they eat and go potty, small biscuits to chew, a good nap and a lap to enjoy, quiet home

Play: Cooper likes soft toys to chew, Oliver prefers small Kong toys with food to shake out

Dislikes: Cooper is terrified of thunder

Caution: Oliver can get under your feet a bit when his food is getting ready. They jump for joy at dinner time

Overall: Their foster Mom loves them, but has 2 dogs herself. Looking for their perfect forever home.

Introducing Baxter!

Baxter is a 6-year-old Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon Frise mix) with a heart full of love to give. He enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings, loves attention from his people, and is happiest when he's surrounded by his family.

Baxter is a true cuddle bug and can be a bit of a velcro dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, Baxter is your perfect match. Whether he's curled up next to you on the couch or following you from room to room, he simply loves being with his people.

His previous owner shared that Baxter does best in a home where someone is home much of the day or where he has another friendly dog for companionship. He enjoys having company and thrives when he isn't left alone for long periods.

Baxter came to us with veterinary documentation showing he has IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). He also has arthritis in his back and luxating patellas--no surgery recommended. Our veterinarian believes his IVDD is a very mild case, and Baxter continues to enjoy a happy, active life. He loves running around the yard, playing with other dogs, using the doggy door, and relaxing on the couch or in his favorite cozy spot. He has medication available should he ever experience a flare-up, but overall he does very well.

Baxter is looking for a family that understands his needs and will continue helping him stay comfortable while giving him all the love and companionship he deserves. In return, he'll reward you with endless cuddles, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love.

"Teddy is more than ready for a home of his own. He is an active boy, loves his people. He is good with children. He was an anxious boy when he came to us but he is quite “normal” now. He does need an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and can be patient as he adjusts to a new home. He is active, loves to swim, take walks and exercise. He is a big, beautiful, lovable boy. If you work from home, he will lie quietly near you. He just wants to be near his people. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He is still on medication but that has been reduced since he came to us. It will need to continue. He requires a securely fenced yard and someone who is home most of the time. Teddy is being 5 1/2 years old and is being fostered in Newburgh, NY.

**Meet Emmy Lou**

Emmy Lou is a sweet 7-year-old, 24-pound little girl who is looking for the forever family meant just for her.

She is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has had a dental cleaning. Emmy Lou does have a low-grade 2 heart murmur, but it does not require medication at this time.

She can be slow to trust, likely due to her previous home situation. What she needs most is a patient, gentle, loving family willing to give her the time and reassurance she deserves. Over the past couple of weeks, Emmy Lou has started lying close to her foster mom for belly rubs and back scratches, and she is beginning to play with dog toys.

She loves running in the backyard with the other dogs in her foster home and would likely do very well with another friendly dog. She also loves to go “bye-bye” and enjoys being included in daily life.

Emmy Lou is currently working on leash training and potty training and is doing very well. She is a smart little girl and is already learning commands like sit and stay. She has picked them up quickly and continues to make wonderful progress.

Emmy Lou will make a loyal companion and a beautiful addition to the right family. She is waiting for someone who will offer her patience, love, affection, and the safe home she truly deserves.

Meet Flicka! 💕

Flicka is a sweet little Ruby Cavalier girl who wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is the definition of a velcro dog and loves being close to her people at all times. While still shy, she absolutely loves everyone she meets, and her confidence continues to grow every day.

Flicka would do best in a home with another Cavalier or small dog to help continue building her confidence. She gets along wonderfully with her two foster sibling Cavaliers and enjoys having canine companionship.

It has been so sweet watching Flicka start to figure out how to just be a dog. She’s even learned what toys are and is beginning to play with them, which has been so sweet to see.

She has made huge strides with housetraining and does very well when kept on a consistent schedule — we’ve only had two accidents! Flicka is spayed, sleeps happily in the big bed at night, and also does well in her crate when we leave the house. We would prefer a fenced-in yard for Flicka. She walks well on the leash when she has canine companions to learn from.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your days (and your lap!) with, Flicka may be the perfect fit. 🐶💕

Flicka is being fostered in the Richmond, VA area. DOB 4/25/22 and is a former commercial breeding dog.
