Madison County- HEALing Communities Study The Madison Co. community is instrumental in combating the opioid overdose epidemic at home and across the country.

By participating in the first wave of The HEALing Communities Study, we are helping to bring hope and healing to neighbors near and far.

On December 31, 2023, the HEALing Communities Study came to an end. The University of Kentucky, state partners, and local coalitions are now working hard to sustain components of the study. They are also analyzing study data to help our communities, our state, and the nation find ways to best address the opioid overdose crisis.

This page will close at the end of May, but don’t worry! You can still receive updates and access HEALing Communities Study resources through our newly launched website: https://healingstudy.uky.edu/. Visit your community page to download a resource guide, access county-specific data dashboards, and view photos of the incredible work we achieved together.

Madison County- HEALing Communities Study will be here providing local resources & FREE Overdose Education with Naloxone (Narcan.)

There will be countless organizations on site but we must thank our generous host, SPARK Ministries Madison County for securing a site & time to remember those who lost their life to substance/opioid use disorder & highlight the memories shared by family members & friends.

Madison County- HEALing Communities Study would like to give a tremendous and heart- felt "Thank you" to Richmond Pride, (hosted at Dreaming Creek Brewery) for allowing us to serve as a Community Resource during their exciting, fun & all-inclusive event on June 18th, 2022!

We'd also like to add, 195 individuals received Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution on this day! That has the potential in saving AT LEAST 195 lives. 👏
