It’s March 1! We made it all the way through a really hard year. Pat yourself on the back today. We’ll have the calendars in our hands on Wednesday this week—then working hard to package them all and deliver them to Richmond doorsteps on Friday evening! So if you see an unfamiliar face approaching your door this weekend, don’t be alarmed. For those of you who purchased calendars outside of Richmond, we’ll be shipping to you this weekend.

In other news, the Open Sign calendar will also be available for in-store purchase from Mongrel on Cary St., and at several of the restaurants featured in the calendar. We can’t wait for you all to hang them up on your walls! Please check out our website for upcoming merch and specific locations where the calendar can be purchased. 🖤💜

Chef Mike Lindsey and his restaurant Lillie Pearl occupy the calendar month of January! Lillie Pearl is where Lindsey uses food to tell the story of his family—a story that stretches from West Africa to South Carolina to right here in Richmond.

Today is the last day to preorder the Open Sign Calendar. We hope you’ll all snag a copy so we can get them into as many stores as possible before March 1. Thank you all so much for your support and Happy Friday!

Happy Monday, folks. It’s a great week to try something new and we have two winning suggestions for ya. You can’t go wrong with anything on Soul Taco’s menu, but you can go really really right with these two. Pictured here is the Flaming Hot Cheeto Elote Loco (roasted corn on the cob, elote aioli, chili, cilantro, lime, cotija cheese, flaming hot cheeto dust) and the Buttermilk Battered Fried Chicken Taco (buttermilk Battered Fried Chicken, avocado, pickled red onions, chipotle BBQ crema, hot sauce aioli). Mouth watering yet?

Soul Taco has three locations around Richmond, so just pick the closest one and get movin’! Trey Owens and Soul Taco can be found in MAY on the calendar.

BTS of part of the team getting to know Dilnessaw Bitew, the entrepreneur behind Addis Ethiopian. Mr. Bitew’s calendar month is November!

Addis is situated on the Shockoe Bottom 17th Street Farmers Market. Since 2008 the Ethiopian spot has been cultivating a loyal following! Show them some love this week, for dine-in or takeout.
