Heart Knowledge Over Head Knowledge
Sometimes I feel inadequate when others seem to know every detail of Scripture — every king, every battle, every timeline. But God gently reminds me that His Word isn’t a textbook to master; it’s a love story to live and breathe.
The Bible is full of history, but its heartbeat is relationship. The Old Testament tells of God’s holiness, His justice, and His mercy — but more than that, it reveals His heart. It shows His longing for His people to walk in truth, wisdom, and righteousness.
God has given me a gift that isn’t about memorizing details, but about feeling His heart. When I read His Word, I sense His love, His correction, His compassion. The Holy Spirit opens my eyes to the message behind the words — that God wants me to walk closely with Him, trust His wisdom, and live in reverent awe of who He is.
“The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” — Proverbs 2:6
True wisdom isn’t found in how much I know, but in how deeply I know Him.
Father,
Thank You for writing the greatest love story ever told — one that began before time and continues in my life today. Help me not to get lost in the details or feel small beside those who know every fact, but to remember that You’ve called me to know Your heart.
Open my eyes to see Your love woven through every page — from creation to the cross, from promise to fulfillment. Let Your Word come alive in me, not just as knowledge but as transformation.
Teach me to walk in Your wisdom, to hear Your voice, and to live each day in awe of who You are. May my life be a reflection of Your story — a testimony of Your grace, truth, and everlasting love.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
