April GBM 🎓

Our last General Body Meeting of the 25–26 school year was a success. Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped us celebrate and support our seniors during their farewell. DMC is more than just a student organization, we’re truly family.

We’re excited to see our seniors continue to excel as they take the next step into their careers. Shoutout to our incoming 26–27 E-Board as well, we’re looking forward to everything you all have in store for DMC next school year.

A special thank you to Dr. Kelechi Ogbonna for delivering such an inspiring keynote to our group of men. Your words and support will stay with us.

As the semester comes to a close, don’t forget that if you need help with final assignments or exam prep, we’re still hosting weekly study sessions at HQ.

Let’s finish this semester strong. Excellence remains the standard!

It is officially Giving Day at Virginia Commonwealth University. This is your chance to give back and create an impact with DMC.

Giving Day is more than a donation. It is an investment in the experiences, resources, and community that continue to shape DMC and the students who are a part of it.

Your contribution helps fund events, programs, and opportunities that make a real difference throughout the academic year — from hosting impactful initiatives to creating spaces where students can connect, grow, and thrive. No matter the amount, every gift moves our mission forward and helps build something meaningful for current and future members alike.

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support. Remember, every donation counts!

2026 DMC College Day

This year’s College Day was nothing short of impactful. We had the opportunity to welcome and tour a group of young men from inner-city middle schools, the Men of Distinction, onto VCU’s campus; an experience many young men do not often get. Today was all about planting seeds in the youth and showing them how much opportunity is out there when they reach this stage of life and beyond!

The day began with a guided tour, giving them a firsthand look at our academic spaces and the opportunities available for their future. Throughout the day, there were meaningful conversations, mentorship, and a strong sense of brotherhood being built. We wrapped things up in the gym with fun, high-energy activities that brought everyone together, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the importance of community and connection.

Special thank you to the VCU Men’s Basketball players who showed up and poured into these young men. Your presence, encouragement, and time truly made a difference and does not go unnoticed.

We hope the Men of Distinction enjoyed their College Day tour and left truly inspired for what the future holds in their lives!
