At RPAL, we believe every young person deserves safety, support, opportunity, and the chance to build a brighter future. Today, we are asking for your help for an incredible young man named Elijah.
Elijah is a high school freshman and an active participant in our CHAMP program, music program, and sports activities. He is known by staff and peers as respectful, kind-hearted, talented, and full of promise. Whether he is learning drums, spending time in the recording studio, or showing up for programs with a positive attitude, Elijah brings light wherever he goes.

But like many young people, Elijah has faced challenges that no child should have to carry alone.

Recently, Elijah shared that he and his family are currently living in a shelter. During a recent RPAL trip, he expressed gratitude simply for having a real bed to sleep in that night. He also shared his hope for something more—a chance at stability, peace, and a better future.
Now, that opportunity is here.

Elijah has been given the chance to attend Boys Town in Omaha, where he can receive a stable home environment, mentorship, educational support, structure, and the care every young person deserves.

This is more than travel assistance.
This is more than a fundraiser.
This is a fresh start.
This is hope in action.
This is a young life with the chance to thrive.

We are raising $3,000 to help cover airfare, travel support, personal essentials, and holiday visits home so Elijah can stay connected to family while beginning this new chapter.

We are also continuing to support Elijah’s mother and younger sister as they work toward stable housing.

Last week, RPAL proudly hosted the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our brand-new Culinary Center — and what a day it was! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who came out to support, celebrate, and share in this exciting milestone for our community.

The RPAL Culinary Center is more than a kitchen — it’s a hub of opportunity:
👩🏽‍🍳 Teaching youth culinary skills and healthy cooking habits
🥗 Promoting wellness and nutrition for families
🌱 Connecting food, fitness, and future career pathways
💡 Building life skills that will last a lifetime

We are beyond excited to see our young people thrive in this space — learning, growing, and discovering the joy of food. This center is here to empower the next generation while strengthening our community as a whole. 💪❤️
