February 21st, we successfully hosted Session II, with 25 students in attendance representing a strong cross-section of emerging leaders from across the region. The session focused on professional readiness, personal branding, and mindset development as students continue competing for scholarship opportunities and preparing for life after graduation.
Our students heard from an exceptional lineup of speakers who delivered powerful and practical insights:
Kenyatta Holmes, Best-Selling Author and Project Manager, provided a dynamic session on optimizing LinkedIn for employment opportunities. She also introduced students to practical ways to leverage AI as a strategic career tool, equipping them with modern tactics to stand out in today’s competitive job market.
Dr. Jordyn Norde, Pharmacist, Motivational Speaker, and proud Backpack to Briefcase alum, spoke on the critical transition from student to professional. She challenged students to maximize their individual talents and align their skills with the lifestyle and career outcomes they desire.
Laurence Maroney, Retired NFL Player, closed the session with an impactful fireside chat highlighting his rise to success, hard-earned lessons, and life after football. His central message emphasized the importance of believing in oneself and prioritizing mental health throughout one’s journey.
