St. Louis Publishers Association

St. Louis Publishers Association SLPA provides education & networking opportunities to empower authors to create, market, & sell books The St. Louis Publishers Association (SLPA) is a U.S.

Midwest nonprofit that provides education and networking opportunities that empower authors and publishers to create, market and sell their books. Founded in 1997, the SLPA serves the needs of an expanding and diverse membership, from aspiring authors to multi-book publishing pros. The technical and financial hurdles that previously made publishing inaccessible to the masses have faded. With the g

rowth of short-run digital technologies, print-on-demand and Internet sales opportunities, the playing field has been leveled. Through our monthly meetings, newsletters and other educational events, the SLPA is helping to connect authors and publishers throughout the St. Louis region with the knowledge and resources they need. The SLPA is a clearinghouse of useful book publishing information, inspiration and motivation – a place where like-minded people gather to learn and share their book writing and publishing successes. The organization has grown significantly in recent years as more and more people are attracted to the idea of publishing their own books. We guide the novice while also offering value to the intermediate and advanced book publisher. The publishing business keeps evolving rapidly and we will continue to provide the most up-to-date information available on book development, production and marketing. We encourage you to join us and wish you much success with your publishing goals!
