We ask that every medical and mental health professional treating our veterans submit public comment. Veterans and caregivers, you must use your voice here. This is unfair, cruel, and intentional. So often our community stays silent while organizations respond to legislative matters. This is not the time. This is serious and your voice matters.

Good morning fam!! We have a grant request we are hoping to fill for our military connected kiddos at Stateside Elementary School here in the Camp Lejeune area. Although it's outside our mission, a local teacher has asked for a grant to purchase footwear for PE as so many kiddos do not have safe footwear to participate. We have raised $350 of the $1000 grant. Donations can be made by Venmo or CashApp to our Executive Director Lisa Colella. Details in the comments. Tangible donation details are there as well. No donation is too small. Even $10 will help purchase socks and sanitation supplies.

The current administration’s plan to separate transgender service members regardless of years of service, advancement, exemplary reviews, accommodations, awards or occupational specialty, stands is stark contrast to the ethos of all six branches of the United States Military.

Gender, in and of itself, does not equate negatively or positively to loyalty, duty, selfless service, honor, integrity or personal service. Members of our nation’s military prove their value through their actions on and off the battlefield. Those actions aren’t defined by a pronoun. Instead, these actions are defined by carrying out duties that less than 1% of our population is willing to even attempt. The honor is in the oath and as such, it should not be disregarded and disrespected based on the arbitrary and unproven concerns brought forward mostly by those who have never worn the uniform.

The memo released on Wednesday not only threatens to unjustly fire thousands of service members but also very likely puts at risk their earned benefits, including retirement, disability pay and TriCare. It also will impact the future of thousands of their spouses and children who have sacrificed so much already.
Healing Household 6 absolutely and unequivocally opposes this ban.
