Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels is a service of Senior Life Resources Northwest. In 2017, we serve over 600 meals each weekday. Meals are cooked fresh daily.

Since 1974, Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, part of Generational Care formerly Senior Life Resources Northwest, has served older adults in Benton and Franklin counties with nutritious meals, friendly visits, and care that nourishes both body and heart. We first began delivering meals to home-bound seniors (age 60+) in 1974, serving just 12 meals a day. About half the meals are served to diners at ou

r seven dining centers, and the other half are delivered to home-bound clients throughout Benton and Franklin Counties. Volunteers serve meals at our dining centers and transport individually-packaged meals to our home-bound seniors. We are currently blessed with over 350 volunteers. Social Media Policy Statement

A big thank you to our friends at Dutch Bros for stopping by and sharing some love with our team! ☕💙

We were honored to be recognized as an organization making a positive impact in our community. Their thoughtful gift of coffee, coffee pods, and a few fun stickers was a wonderful surprise and a reminder of how fortunate we are to live in a community that supports one another.

Generational Care is seeking our next Executive Director.

For decades, Generational Care (Formerly Senior Life Resources) has been dedicated to helping people live with dignity, independence, and connection. Thanks to the vision and leadership of those who have come before us, our organization has grown into a trusted resource serving communities throughout Southeast and South Central Washington. We now offer three primary programs: Home Care Services. Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, and Healthy Ages

As we look toward the future, we are seeking a servant-hearted leader to build upon that strong foundation. Our next Executive Director will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for an organization united by a shared commitment "to preserve and enhance the quality of life for every generation, with dignity and care".

This is an opportunity to honor a legacy of care while helping shape the next chapter of impact for the communities we serve.

If you have unopened pet food to spare, please consider donating it to our Pet Pantry. Your gift can help ensure both pets and their people stay healthy, happy, and together.

For many older adults, pets are more than companions, they're family. They provide comfort, purpose, and unconditional love. When we help care for the pets seniors cherish, we're helping care for the seniors themselves.

Last year alone, we provided more than 280,000 meals to over 2,500 individuals. Yet that represents only a small portion of the local population that may qualify for our services.

As our community ages, the need for nutritious meals, wellness checks, and meaningful connection will only increase. We want to be ready to meet that need, but we can't do it alone.

Through June, every donation to Hope on a Plate will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 thanks to Cornerstone Wealth Strategies.

❤️ Twice the meals. Twice the hope. Twice the impact.

But giving isn't the only way to help!

In observance of Memorial Day, all meal sites, home deliveries, and office operations will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

As we pause to honor and remember those who served and sacrificed, we extend our gratitude to all who have given in service to our country.

Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

A huge thank you to our incredible partners at Baker Boyer for their amazing support in assembling our Spring Santa for Seniors Bags!

Their team was in the office from 1:30 to 5:00 PM and what an impact they made, bringing energy, positivity, and even calling in reinforcements from family members and friends to get the job done. Together they assembled an incredible 1,400 bags for seniors in our community.

We are especially grateful for the leadership of Elizabeth Holt whose coordination and dedication helped make the entire effort such a success.

It is always a joy having this crew with us, their spirit, teamwork, and commitment to serving others truly shine through in everything they do.
