Pumptrack update:

I haven't posted much in the last couple of months but I have been working diligently with the City of Richland to get the "Green Light" to start private fundraising for the buildout phase. Friday afternoon I was given the exciting news that we are good to go! We'll need to raise at least $1M and with costs rising since we started this project it will most likely be higher. I don't have the final budget numbers back yet but we should have them shortly now that we have the go-ahead for the build.

I've been in contact with a few of you from the area with ties to the bike industry that have expressed interest in helping with fundraising efforts. It's going to take an entire community effort to raise these funds so round up the troops! If you have any ties or relationships with larger corporate donors that may be interested in donating please let us know.

This is going to be such an amazing park! I've been working with VeloSolutions on a few revisions/additions and I think we just about have it dialed! I'm excited to share those renderings when we get them back. Thank you to all who have helped up to this point and stay stoked! Spread the word!

Surprise!! "Would you look at that!" We received another generous donation on Thursday that covered the rest of the design fee and we now have renderings to look at!

There are still a few revisions to be made like the obvious entrance on the West needs to be moved to the North parking lot but I wanted to share the renderings and open it up for feedback. This is a huge pumptrack with some distinct sections.
We have a symmetrical pump section that will allow for head-to-head racing that was designed for great flow, a fun "workout", and to host Redbull Championship events! I'd like to see some different variations along the pump straights of this section like a triple, maybe a step up or step down, or a small table just to add some progressive variation. There's also 2 berms that we can add wall rides to.

Then we have an awesome jump section. We've talked about adding a whale tail feature within one of the lines or possibly another progressive feature as well as maybe a wall ride on the South berm. Let me know your thoughts and ideas!

Last but not least is the Beginner's section for those just getting started or younger kids to hang out and learn how to pump before heading over to the main course.

Just wanted to update everyone and let you know where we’re at. So far we’ve raised $1k (big THANK YOU to those who have generously donated)!
We still have a ways to go to raise the $6,500 needed to get the design started. If you would like to have an amazing VeloSolutions pumptrack please consider donating towards the cause.
I was finally able to get our 501(C)(3) approved with Facebook so now there is a donate button directly on the page. Please keep sharing around and let everyone know that Richland is getting a pumptrack but we still need to raise funds to see it through!

It’s Boat Race weekend in the Tri-Cities and Joel Garcia just gave us 2 pit passes (good for all 3 days) and a parking pass for Sat and Sun!
First person to donate $50 or more towards the pumptrack can have them! They’ll need to be picked up in the Tri-Cities today or tomorrow.

Hey Everyone! HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!

We finally have a Park Partnership Contract with Richland Parks and Recreation to start the design phase of the Velosolutions Pumptrack, which will be located at the Horn Rapids Athletic Complex in Richland, WA.

We need to raise $6,500 of additional funding to get the design started. Once that is covered we should have the finalized track design and renderings back in a couple of months. We are planning to have the full buildout of a $1M asphalt pumptrack/park facility finished in 2023! I've been to several Velo pumptracks and this one is going to be AMAZING with several unique features!!
