Richland Blessings in a Backpack The Richland R-IV Schools elementary counselor acts as liaison by accepting applications from families in need throughout the year.

Supported by donations from individuals, organizations like the Salvation Army and churches, Richland Blessings in a Backpack supplies food for elementary children in need on the weekends. Our community-wide program is over 20 years old and is housed in Richland United Methodist Church, where volunteers put together meals for anywhere from 28-40 elementary students each weekend. t is updated, and more backpacks are filled as needed. Thanks to donations, the program has been able to continue throughout the Covid crisis, and students are already being served for 2021-22. If you would like to volunteer to help, call 573-765-2826 or message us on our page. If you would to donate to the program, you may stop by Bank of Crocker and tell them you want to give to the Blessings in a Backpack. Or you can mail a check to Blessings in a Backpack, 1000 N.
