Our first ever Ryan’s Root: Care Like Ryan scholarships were awarded to two amazing high school seniors. From Weston, Valerie Bauer was chosen by staff as an example of caring and support for those around her. She is always willing to help others and be a cheerleader for classmates and teammates. From Richland Center, Mason Meyer was selected for his constant willingness to lend a helping hand with numerous activities and his commitment to his community.
Both students have qualities that embody the characteristics Ryan held and our organization wanted to reward their heart of service with a $1000 scholarship to each. We are thankful and honored to support these two young, amazing individuals!

Tomorrow May 11th is the last day to order Ryan’s Root gear! Take a look at the link below and see if there’s something that you’re drawn to! Maybe a tank for the summer, a blanket to spread out for outdoor picnics, a beach towel for days at the lake, or a water bottle to keep you hydrated!!! All proceeds go to the foundation to help fund scholarships and fund our “Care Like Ryan” days!

Our April “Care Like Ryan” day is fast approaching! We are excited to see you there and join in with helping our community. Here is our tentative schedule for the day:
9:00 - meet @ Kelly’s Coffee
10:00 - bingo @ Schmitt Woodland Hills (alternate times of 1:30 and 2:45)
11:00 - lunch break
12:00 - head to local parks for clean up
2:30 - Richland Area Rescue to drop off supplies
Also, we are accepting donations this week through Saturday: Little Lambs Closet - diapers any size & baby wipes
Holocaust Shoe Project - new or gently used shoes
Richland Area Rescue - bleach, Viva paper towels, grain from Chet’s, Purina with lamb & rice dog food, cat food, cat litter, and toys for dogs and cats
You can drop these items off at 567 E Seminary St at the door with the small black table.
