"No way are we in Minnesota. No way!" That was the official reaction from the Mayor of Flavortown himself, Guy Fieri, when he tried the legendary Tacos Al Pastor at Richfield's own Andale Taqueria & Mercado at 77th and Nicollet. Mental Floss just rounded up Fieri's Top 5 Mexican Restaurants in the entire United States, and our neighborhood hot spot made the list! Our of all the thousands of places across the country featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," Andale is officially sitting in the top tier.

Honestly, we didn't need an excuse for Where-Should-We-Eat Wednesday, but this is the ultimate validation! Read about Guy's top picks here: https://www.mentalfloss.com/food/restaurants/guy-fieri-top-5-mexican-restaurants-us

🧀🥓It's National Quiche Lorraine Day, and we know you're dying to celebrate. The only place to go for today's Where-Should-We-Eat-Wednesday is Patrick's Bakery & Café on West 66th Street!

🥐Patrick's Quiche Lorraine is the real deal, and don't worry...you can offset those calories with the perfect side salad. But we challenge you to leave without one of Patrick's gorgeous French pastries. (Pro tip: It can't be done.)

Richfield has become a magnet for incredible local dining, and having an authentic French bakery right in our neighborhood is a luxury you need to indulge in today. Bon appetit!

🍺For next week's Where-Should-We-Eat Wednesday, we’re planning ahead for a cause that’s close to our hearts (and our stomachs). Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 20, because it’s Pints for Paws at Pizza Lucé on 66th Street in Richfield!

In a partnership with The Rescue Crew and Elm Creek Brewing Co., from 5 to 8 p.m. next Wednesday Pizza Lucé is donating 100% of all sales of Elm Creek's Legalize Mulligans Hazy Pale Ale to The Rescue Crew! The Rescue Crew is a fully volunteer-run, foster-based rescue dedicated to providing homes and medical services to abandoned or neglected animals.

🐕‍🦺🐈In addition to purchasing Legalize Mulligans, you can also help out by bringing donations of pet toys, pet food, blankets, beds, and pet furniture for The Rescue Crew. And the BEST part...? You can meet adoptable puppies and kittens right on the spot!

🍕Probably best to make reservations for this one: https://pizzaluce.com/reservations/richfield . Oh, and go ahead and consider that extra order of garlic cheese toast a charitable donation. 😏

Summer is coming, and the Richfield Outdoor Pool at Veterans Park is getting a major glow-up! ☀️🏊‍♂️

From a brand-new wading pool play structure to an expanded climbing wall and zipline to the expanded grassy areas for sunbathing, your "backyard oasis" just got a lot more exciting.

Big crowds not your thing? Take advantage of the pool's many alternative programs: Adult lap swim sessions, daily Tot Time for age 7 and under, and Sensory Sundays for folks who need a quieter, calm-water environment.

The pool opens June 12, you can beat the rush by purchasing season passes now to lock in early-bird pricing! Link to purchase passes in the comments.

It's a double feature: For this Where-Should-We-Eat Wednesday, we're also turning it into Where-Should-We-Shop Wednesday!

Today we're heading to Lomabonita Market on 66th Street in Richfield, a one-stop shop for a delicious meal and a full pantry!

Why it's our Wednesday winner:
🌮The Taqueria: Authentic tacos, burritos, and tortas ready made on the spot. Kids not into it? Don't worry; you can get pancakes too.
🎂The Panaderia: Unique (and beautiful!) baked goods to satisfy that sweet tooth.
🛒The Market: From specialty spices to fresh aguas frescas, it's the perfect place to discover ingredients you won't find anywhere else.

Richfield is quickly becoming a magnet for global cuisine, and Lomabonita Market is a huge part of that development! Whether you just need a quick bite, or you're exploring the aisles for weekend meal prep, you're in for a treat.
