Today, on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we stand in support of older adults and reaffirm our commitment to treating every person with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Elder abuse can take many forms including physical, emotional, financial, and neglect, and often happens behind closed doors. By learning the signs, checking in on the older adults in our lives, and speaking up when something doesn’t seem right, we can help create safer communities for everyone.

Let’s work together to honor, protect, and advocate for the elders who have shaped our families and communities. 💜

What We Need Wednesday 💜

At New Horizons Crisis Center, our Rapid Rehousing Program helps individuals and families move from homelessness and crisis situations into safe, stable housing. Many of the people we serve are starting over with little to no household items of their own. While securing housing is a huge step forward, creating a comfortable and functional home takes community support.

That’s why we are currently seeking donations of:
• Silverware Sets
• Pots & Pans
• Dish Sets
• Small Appliances
• Cookware

These everyday essentials help our clients prepare meals, care for their families, and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity and stability. Something as simple as a set of dishes or a pot to cook in can make a major difference for someone transitioning into permanent housing.

Donations can be dropped off at:
📍145 E 100 N, Richfield
🕒 Monday through Friday

Thank you for supporting our Rapid Rehousing Program and helping us create stronger futures for members of our community. 💜

Tomorrow is Denim Day 👖

What we wear is never an invitation, and never consent. Denim Day began as a response to harmful myths that blamed survivors instead of holding perpetrators accountable. Together, we’re changing that narrative.

Join us on 4/29:
Wear your favorite denim
Take a photo
Share it to stand with survivors and speak out against victim-blaming

Let’s show up, speak out, and support one another. 💙
