I have not improved in bowling since I was a little kid but I had a great time Burnham Bowl in West Allis on Saturday with BOLD Blind Outdoor Leisure Development. Although I did awful, it was so much fun! I’m hoping for a higher score next time.🎳
On Sunday, we joined a very large group of BOLD Blind Outdoor Leisure Development members for a holiday celebration. Santa Claus was there!! The Richfield Volunteer Fire Company Station #1 was packed with BOLD members. Great food, lots of singing, and a wild game of Bingo!!
I am always so thankful for all the BOLD activities that I attend. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful support from the Wisconsin Lions Club and all our guides. Thank you the Richfield Lions Club of Wisconsin, USA and BOLD for a very merry Christmas!🎄

I don’t know what it is about this activity that I love so much!! It’s so cold that your nose runs and you shake. It’s difficult and you feel horrible uncoordinated. I can’t even see where the stone is going down the sheet. We all laugh at how far we are from the house. BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CURLING!! 🥌💕
Of all the wonderful Wisconsin Lions Club BOLD Blind Outdoor Leisure Development activities, it is my favorite!!
Thanks to the Wauwatosa Curling Club, Ann and all the volunteers for a great day!! I highly encourage you to try this sport. It is a blast!!
Thanks, as always, to Ray Tweedale, Maggi Bain and area Lions Clubs for the wonderful opportunities. Good pizza too from Toppers Pizza just up the road!

Last night the Wisconsin Lions Club BOLD Blind Outdoor Leisure Development attended “Dial M for Murder”. It was held at the beautiful Quadricci Powerhouse at the Milwaukee Repretory Theatre. This mystery was filled with twists, turns, jealousy and plenty of suspense. The theatre staff was incrediably organized and kind. We had a very big group to keep together. The woman who provided audio description did a wonderful job!! It was so helpful.
As I sat waiting for the production, I thought about how thankful I always am for the BOLD activities. Prior to BOLD I would have been in bed by 8:30 after watching a predictable romance movie on tv with little Mabel. I am truly thankful for the BOLD opportunities and all my new (and old) friends and family. Thanks for the wonderful life of adventures!!

As soon as we stepped out of the BOLD Blind Outdoor Development van at Brightonwoods Orchard in Burlington we could smell apple cider donuts. We knew it would be a great day!! We learned about the history of apples, sampled different ones and were treated to donuts and fresh cider. The donuts tasted even better than they smelled. 🍩🍩🍩
Brightonwoods has over 150 varities of apples and pears. It is not a “you pick ‘em” orchard. They have a fun and unique way of allowing you to fill a bag with a variety of different kinds of apples. They also sell cider, apple based condiments and Wisconsin cheese.
Hold on to your hats people!! They also have a winery. I went way out of my comfort zone and did a wine tasting!! It was not my cup of tea!!! It was something I always thought looked interesting. I did have fun and I’m glad I tried. 🍎🍷BOLD Blind Outdoor Leisure Development

Listen to VIP and Board of Director Lion Kevin Meyers being interviewed about the ending of the Paratransit Taxi service on UWM 89.7's Lake Effect show. The topic starts at 1 minute 19 seconds and lasts just under 15 minutes

We explore why a Milwaukee County transportation service for people with disabilities ended last month. Then, we learn about Present Music’s upcoming performance. We break down the cultural significance of trashy films. Plus, dig into the history of Milwaukee’s Jones Island.

Thank you the Racine Lions of 27-A1 Wisconsin Lions for providing a very nice event for our group. We enjoyed the friendship, BINGO and Miss Racine's flute performance.
