Get to know Molly Bower (Elaine Wheeler)...

*Is this your first show with RTC? If not, what was your last RTC show and role?
My last RTC show was WRTC's HOMETOWN HOLIDAY RADIO SHOW in December 2025.

*What was your last role/show and where?
In August of this year, I played Carol in LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR at Allen Contemporary Theatre.

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why?
One role (of many) that I've aged out of that haunts me is Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. I relate to Belle constantly having her nose in a book, and would have loved to sing her songs in the Broadway Musical version.

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Memorize your lines, word for word, as quickly as possible. Learn what it means to be present in the moment and actually listen to what your scene partner is saying. Good acting is not playing pretend - it's speaking truth in an imaginary setting. Make bold choices during rehearsal and then lock it in for performance. Respect the ensemble. Be a person who is worthy of trust. Be kind. And don't ever forget that theatre should be fun. (For the record, this is my advice for seasoned actors too!)

Jimmer Negamanee in ESCANABA IN DA MOOLIGHT by Jeff Daniels at Allen Contemporary Theatre

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why?
I honestly don't know much theater, but if I had to choose, maybe
Randle P. McMurphy in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST because he is a complex character, that can mix drama and comedy, and it's an interesting setting of an insane asylum.
or Albert Einstein in PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE because I love Steve Martin and the German Accent would be fun to learn.

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
If you want to be rich, be a doctor. If you want to be rich and famous, be a sports star. If you want to be poor but happy, be an actor.

This is my 5th! My last RTC show was LET'S MURDER MARSHA.

Maleficent in Rover's ONE DAY ONLY, 10minute plays in May.

Mame in AUNTIE MAME- Because I love the movie with Rosalind Russell so much! And I try really hard to be the fun auntie.

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Learn your lines as quickly as possible!! Then you can actually focus on acting and your performance.

Get to know Terry Winkler (Helga)...

*Is this your first show with RTC? If not, what was your last RTC show and role?
Yes, this is my first show with RTC. I’m relatively new to Dallas, so I’ve seen two of RTC’s most recent shows; both hilarious. Looking forward to working with this talented theatre group!

*What was your last role/show and where?
I played Mama in DELIVER US FROM MAMA at McKinney Repertory Theatre last year, which highlighted lots of good ol’ Southern humor. I also directed a few theatrical events for McKinney Rep’s 2026 season. Notably, a Texan themed adaptation of the French farce, TARTUFFE. Yee haw & mon dieu!

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why?
True story: back in the day I was cast as Billie Dawn in BORN YESTERDAY at the now-famous Phoenix Theatre in Arizona, but unexpectedly, found out I was expecting my first child. Producers tried moving the show up in the season, but the baby bump could not be hidden; the iconic comedic role was gone. Give me a dream sequence going back in time to create that silly and complex role. A future role I dream of? Madame Arcati in BLYTHE SPIRIT.

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Read and see as many plays as possible. You'll learn something from each experience. Don’t focus on “acting”. Instead, have fun laying down the groundwork: write a detailed backstory for your character. Read the whole script as many times as possible. Focus on how your character listens and reacts to what’s going on around them. Sometimes, the most telling things happen while your character isn’t speaking. If your character is reacting truthfully, the “acting” will take care of itself.

*Is this your first show with RTC? If not, what was your last RTC show and role?
I've lost track of how many shows I've done at RTC, my first show was in 2012. My last RTC show was ANGEL STREET aka GASLIGHT, I portrayed the maid Elizabeth.

*What was your last role/show and where?
I directed LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR for Allen Contemporary Theatre this summer and my last role on stage was Chris in RUMORS at Garland Civic Theatre.

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why?
I would love to play Henry in THE LION IN WINTER

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Don't stop auditioning. Don't take a no as meaning you're not talented. Most of the time a no means you just don't fit the puzzle. Every no eventually leads to a yes, keep going! Listen to the director. Directors also want to see how well you follow direction.

*What was your last role/show and where?
I was the Bishop of Lax in SEE HOW THEY RUN at RTC

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why? M'Lynn in STEEL MAGNOLIAS. The part requires a complete breakdown on stage. It would be an incredible challenge.

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Start with the small roles you are offered and prove yourself to the directors. No drama, nobody likes a bitch. If you cause trouble you will not be cast. You are not Meryl Streep.

*Is this your first show with RTC? If not, what was your last RTC show and role?
No, I’ve done two prior shows with RTC. My last one was THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD, I played Major Blunt.

*What was your last role/show and where?
I just finished the annual 10-Minute Comedy festival at Rover Dramawerks in Plano, where I was in two of the comedies. My most recent role in a full-length production was Felix Ungar in THE ODD COUPLE at Mesquite Arts Theatre.

*If you could play any role, male or female and age is not an issue, what would it be and why?
There are so many, for so many reasons; I find new ones constantly through reading and auditions. But instead of going for the obvious like Harold Hill or Iago, how about Chad in Neil LaBute’s IN THE COMPANY OF MEN who remained a character without morals even when it was moved to the big screen? To play someone so diametrically opposed to my own personality and belief system can be a real thrill. Chad is a complete S.O.B. through and through; no matter how deep you dig, you just find more filth. If not him…well, I still dream of playing Nick Charles in THE THIN MAN What’s more fun than witty banter?

*What advice would you give to a young actor just getting started?
Take every role seriously, regardless of the size. Try to expand your horizons; I’m being reminded all the time by Jenny to think outside the box when I am looking for roles. Read scripts for enjoyment; classic, modern, unknown, anything. And above all, remember to have fun through the entire process.
