Urgent 5/31 deadline to take SYT

If you have NOT completed the updated Safeguarding our Youth Training, your Scouting membership will expire at the end of May.

If your membership expires, you will NOT be able to:

Attend summer camp
Participate in overnight activities
Serve as a registered leader at Scouting events
Access certain Scouting systems and registrations
In addition, once your membership expires, you will be required to complete:

A NEW adult application
A new criminal background check
Additional processing before your membership can be reinstated
Check your status in My.Scouting. We do not want you to arrive at camp or an activity and discover there is an issue with your registration status.

Please avoid interruptions to your summer plans by completing your Safeguarding Youth Training now. Log in to https://training.scouting.org/courses/SCO_3014 today and complete the training before May 31.

** The Refresher Course only counts for those who have previously taken the Safeguarding Youth Training.

Congrats to our Northern Trail Arrowmen from the Arapaho Chapter who participated in the May Ordeal at Camp Constantin— we celebrate new Ordeal members from T1077, T890, T444, T1001, T81 and kudos to our new Brotherhood member from T570! Thank you to the leaders who staffed from T444, T570, T81, and T890!

Some important items regarding youth protection training (YPT), and the new SAFE Guarding Youth training:

If you have not taken the new SAFE guarding youth training, you will need to do so no later than May 31. Even if your YPT training is less than two years old, the program is being sunset and your training will expire May 31

The new SAFE guarding youth training is an annual training with 20 minute refreshers each year. Since the training has been around for a year now, some of you will be due for the refresher. Please take the refresher course PRIOR TO expiration of your SYT. If your SYT lapses by more than 7 days, retaking the full 90min course will be required.
