I have heard it said that only about 25% of Christian leaders finish well. I praise God for Rosemary Jensen's legacy as a godly Christian leader, who was obedient to God's calling at an early age and also continued to run the race of obedience and faith in her life in front of others; finishing the race well!
Knowing Rosemary and her husband Dr. Bob Jensen since 2002, serving with the Rafiki Foundation in various volunteer positions, and then with my husband John Mithen for 2 years, was a privilege, an honor, a LOT of hard work, but also joy.
I think of the last verse of a hymn that most all of us knew who were with the Rafiki Foundation "To God Be the Glory" and Rosemary's homegoing. What a glorious transport she must have had,and bright shining star she is for Jesus who is now in the presence of her Lord and God the Father's eternal throne.
"Great things he has taught us, great things he has done, and great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son, but purer and higher and greater will be our wonder our transport when Jesus we see."
We will continue to pray for Rosemary Jensen's immediate family, the Rafiki family and her close friends; all the many people who knew and loved her and are mourning her loss. She will be dearly missed!
