We are out of puppy food!! Please help us restock our puppy food shelves. Top need is dry puppy food, followed by p*e pads, puppy toys, puppy treats and wet puppy food. Monetary donations are also super helpful for keeping supplies in stock and getting them to our foster homes!! We would be grateful for any help you can provide to help us refill our puppy supply shelves!! 🐾🐾🩷🩷🐾🐾🩷🩷🐾🐾

🐶💔 Vanna White Needs a FOSTER or FOREVER Home 💔🐶

You may remember Vanna White, the devoted mama to our wildly popular Wheel of Fortune litter (also the Aunt to our Baseball Litter-all adopted)!

Thanks to your shares, her story reached thousands of people and helped her land in a loving temporary foster home. We are so grateful. ❤️

But now that foster family is traveling, and sadly, Vanna is back in boarding.

After doing an incredible job raising seven puppies, this sweet girl deserves so much more than a kennel run and lonely days waiting for someone to notice her.

Vanna is about 2 years old and 55 pounds of lovable mystery breed goodness—perhaps part Great Pyrenees, part Beagle... about 57 breeds mixed in for good measure! Whatever her DNA says, one thing is certain: she is 100% sweetheart.

She has been living peacefully in a foster home with another dog and truly enjoys a calm, predictable environment. We think Vanna would thrive as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with a canine companion who is comfortable letting her take the lead.

Vanna is scheduled for her spay next week and eventually heartworm treatment, and we would love nothing more than for her to recover in the comfort of a home instead of boarding. A foster home would be wonderful—but an adopter would be even better.

She’s affectionate, gentle, and ready for the next chapter of her life: being someone’s beloved companion instead of someone’s mama.

Her only “fault”? She isn’t a tiny puppy anymore. But we’re pretty sure she was absolutely adorable back in her day—and she’s still pretty darn cute now. ❤️

Can you open your heart and home to Vanna?

📧 Email [email protected] to foster or adopt, or visit www.dsda.org/foster to learn more.

🚨🚨If you are not able to help us by fostering, please share this post in hopes that we will reach someone soon. Our veterinarians do not have room to board dogs over holidays and soon Vanna will have nowhere to go. We don't want this for any of our dogs! We love them all the same, and they all deserve only the best treatment available!🚨🚨

🚧🐾 Dozer and Harley had quite the weekend adventure!

Dozer, our handsome white-and-tan boy, and Harley, our adorable tan girl, made their big debut at Vacation Bible School this weekend—and they were a hit! They soaked up attention from lots of new friends, practiced their social skills, and proved they are experts at collecting pets and compliments. ❤️

This is the magic of foster care! Our puppies grow up in homes where they experience new people, places, and adventures that help them become confident, well-adjusted family members. When you adopt from DSDA, you can be pretty sure your puppy comes well socialized… and in Dozer and Harley’s case, they may have even gotten a little religion along the way! 😇🐶

Ready to meet one of our lucky dogs or puppies? Visit www.dsda.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and complete an online application to schedule a meet-and-greet!

Frank may be extra large, but he’s a simple guy with simple joys in life. 🥰 Give him a stick and he’s in heaven!

On a recent trip to the dog park, Frank proudly found the perfect stick and carried it everywhere he went—even into the water park area. ❤️ Sticks and water? That’s basically his dream day.

Frank is still just a baby. At only 6 months old, this BIG puppy already weighs a whopping 83 pounds! This handsome Great Pyrenees mix is an absolute doll—sweet, silly, smart, and friendly with both dogs and cats.

If you’re in the market for your very own stick collector, look no further—Frank might just be your guy. To meet him and discover just how amazing he really is, visit www.dsda.org/adopt and submit an online application today!

ADOPTION NEWS!!!! We are thrilled to announce that Loretta, from the Western Singer Sisters n/k/a Dolly, has found her forever home with a loving mom, dad, and big fur sister, Daisy!

Dolly's foster dad saw mom and dad walking Daisy and noticed the resemblance between the two pups. Foster dad asked, "Are you looking for another Great Pyrenees?" Mom stated they were not looking, and it was all over from there! Dolly is a sweet pup and quickly found a way into their hearts. We’re so excited for her and how close she’ll still be to her foster's home!

Dolly and her 2 siblings Maize (adopted), and Lainey (still looking for her happily ever after) were rescued from a rural highway after they were heartlessly dumped. Thankfully, their guardian angel saw them and just knew she had to save them. DSDA stepped in because fosters said yes and other pups were adopted, which made room for these 3. Please consider adoption, fostering, or both to help save more pups like the Western Singer Sisters! We need you and would love to have you. You can go to dsda.org for more information. We pay for all medical and food costs. Thank you donors, fosters, supporters, volunteers, and adopters! Happy Tails, Dolly!

I mean...is Sassy not one of the cutest puppies you have ever laid 👀 on?

She has the most perfect black button nose and eyeliner appears professionally applied! She plays so well with DSDA Alumn, Foster Fail Flint, that its almost magical!

Sassy is just a tad over 6 months old and now weighs 29 whopping pounds! But don't let her small size fool you! She is ready to play with any dog and can adapt to just about any play style. And, she is always ready for her next meal and a nap! She is making great progress on the leash and house training, too!

Based on our experience with Sassy her ideal home will have another dog who would play with her and show her how to "dog". She loves rolling in the grass and chasing bugs so we see her in a house with a fenced yard. Of course, being a baby she needs someone home more a lot to help practice her skills.

To meet Sassy in person just go to www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online application today!

🍃Ivy is ready for her forever family! 🌱

This beautiful black-and-tan sweetheart has spent her puppyhood growing up in a loving foster home, and now it’s finally her turn to find a family of her own. Both of her sisters have already been adopted and are thriving—now Ivy is hoping she’s next!

At just 4 months old and a petite 22 pounds, Ivy is expected to mature into a wonderful medium-sized companion. She is being raised in a busy foster home with other dogs & teenagers so she’s already learning how to be a well-rounded family dog. Ivy is even cat friendly! 🐱❤️🐶

One of the biggest advantages of adopting from DSDA is that our puppies are raised in homes, not kennels. Ivy is surrounded by love and attention every day while working on house training, crate training, leash manners, and socialization out in the community. She is getting the kind of foundation every puppy deserves.

And let’s talk about value! Our puppy adoption fee is just $325—a fee that has remained unchanged for nine years, despite the rising costs of veterinary care and supplies. That fee includes:

✔️ Age-appropriate vaccines and boosters
✔️ Deworming
✔️ Microchip
✔️ Spay surgery
✔️ A free dose of heartworm prevention to bridge the gap until your first vet visit
✔️ Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care

By the time Ivy joins your family, hundreds of dollars have already been invested in her health, care, and socialization—making DSDA’s adoption fee an incredible bargain while helping us save the next dog in need.

💜 So what are you waiting for? Ivy is ready to meet her family!

🤯 ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING… Lainey is STILL AVAILABLE! 🤯

We honestly can’t believe this beautiful girl hasn’t been scooped up yet!
You may remember Lainey from our Country Singer Sisters trio. While her sisters, Dolly and Loretta, have already found their forever homes and are settling in beautifully, sweet Lainey (only 6 months old and 35 pounds) is still waiting for her perfect family.

Here’s what her foster mom has to say:

💗 “Lainey is incredibly sweet and snuggly, but she’s also full of playful puppy spirit! She’s been giving DSDA alum Humphrey a run for his money, although as you can see from the video, he’s still bigger than she is and can keep her in check when she gets a little too feisty! 😂”

A few things Lainey’s foster family loves about her:
✅ House trained (95%) and 100% doggie-door trained✅ Great in the car✅ Crate trained — she quietly settles in and relaxes✅ Working on leash skills and making great progress

Lainey is a Great Pyrenees mix with the perfect combination of sweetness, intelligence, and fun. She would thrive in a home with:
🏡 A securely fenced yard🐾 Another playful dog companion❤️ An owner who is home more often than not

If that sounds like your family, don’t wait! Submit an adoption application today at www.dsda.org/adopt.
A girl this gorgeous, loving, and fun isn’t going to stay available forever. Get your application in before someone else falls in love first!

Look at these faces. How could you say no?!

We have 6 boys and 1 girl, all around 10 lbs of the sweetest, most playful puppies you've ever seen — and we need to find them foster homes as soon as possible. At 6 weeks old, they're at a critical socialization window, and the sooner we can get them into loving homes, the better their chances of growing into confident, happy dogs ready for their forever families.

These pups are curious, cuddly, and full of that irresistible puppy energy. Fostering them is one of the most rewarding things you can do — you'll provide meals, warmth, playtime, and all the snuggles. We provide all supplies, vet care, and support every step of the way.
