Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said:

قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

"O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!
Despair not of the Mercy of Allah,
verily, Allah forgives all sins.
Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

Children may not always remember what they received, but they often remember 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. ❤️

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught parents to 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻.

Fairness is not only about gifts. It includes our 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Avoid comparing siblings.
Avoid showing favoritism.
Give each child the feeling that they are valued and loved.

Because even what seems like a 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸.
