Meet your 2026 University of Scouting Marketing Director.....Sean McGaughey

Sean McGaughey is an Eagle Scout and a 2026 recipient of the Silver Beaver award. This past December, he ran a very successful Winter Camp at TRJ where 1200+ Scouts, Scouters and Staff attended. Sean is the Marketing Director for our 2026 University of Scouting event.

Meet your 2026 University of Scouting Dean for Leader Specific Training......David Grossman

We are fortunate to have David as Dean for Leader Specific Training at University of Scouting 2026, where he has spearheaded this year's groundbreaking leader curriculum tracks. David has a long-standing commitment to adult leadership training and has served as Northern Trail District Training Chair where he coordinated multiple IOLS, BALOO and other position-specific training events. At the Council level, David was a troop guide on Wood Badge 148, is the Outdoor Skills Coordinator for the Circle Ten Council Training Committee and will be serving as Area Director for Adult Training at this year's Winter Camp.

Meet your 2026 University of Scouting Director of Administration and Communication..... Shannon Goldman

Shannon Goldman has been involved in many facets of the Scouting program. Currently, Shannon is a member of the National Scouting America Membership committee and Iron Horse District ADC for Roundtable. She also has supported the Circle Ten Council Commissioners College in registration and logistics. Shannon believes in training leaders and has earned her Wood Badge beads and was recognized with the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver. At the University of Scouting 2026, Shannon will be the Director of Administration and Communication.

Meet your 2026 University of Scouting Dean of Venturing and Exploring.....Rick Diamond

Rick Diamond has done it all. From CPR training to Circle 10 Council Commissioner, Exploring to Venturing to Sea Scouts. Rick has traveled many times to the Philmont Training Center attending weeklong conferences – a good example to all of us on the need for up-to-date training. Rick will be serving as the Dean for Venturing and Exploring.
