We're getting ready for the upcoming total solar eclipse coming right over North Texas on April 8, and we want you to be prepared for it too ☀️🌑

Celebrate with us by purchasing your commemorative TAS Total Solar Eclipse shirt at https://www.bonfire.com/tas-of-dallas/ A portion of the proceeds go to TAS, so we sincerely appreciate your support!

Also, we want to make sure you have all the best information about the April eclipse. Learn about the science of eclipses, how you can be as safe as can be while observing it, and where you can go to view it with others, and you can find all that and more in the TAS Solar Eclipse Outreach Kit here:
https://rb.gy/8anwne

***Please note that TAS will not be hosting an event for the eclipse, but we are happy to point you in the direction of groups and sites that are.

Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any questions!

Scenes of TAS volunteers from Moon Day, July 25, 2023 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field.

We had many visitors to our tables asking for information about astronomy and the solar eclipses, as well as interest in joining the club! A special shout out to Hugh Stevens for help coordinating again this year, and also Kelley Miller who represented the NASA Solar System Ambassador program with her display about the 2023 annular and 2024 total solar eclipses!

We are getting ready for the upcoming solar eclipses! Texas gets two in the next year: October 14, 2023 is an annular eclipse, and April 8, 2024 is a total solar eclipse.

We want to make sure we protect our eyes during these events while we look at the sun. Check out products like these from and to learn which viewing devices are best for you!
