Friends of High Bridge Trail State Park is a nonprofit organization that supports the High Bridge Trail State Park (www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/hig.shtml) through volunteerism, advocacy and fundraising efforts. We actively participate in the mission of the park -- to conserve the natural, cultural, scenic and recreational resources of the park; to provide a variety of recreational and educati

onal opportunities; and to promote environmental stewardship. The Friends group, established in February 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The National Trails Day 5K at High Bridge Trail State Park was celebrated on Saturday, June 6 by 163 runners and race walkers ages 6 to 88. Thank you to all who came out and especially to our sponsors and local businesses who donated prizes. We all had a great time. Professional timing was provided by Riverside Runners.
