Benjamin's House

10/12/2026

Dinner was served at Benjamin’s House tonight, and we are so thankful for our Sunday evening visitors from St. Joseph School! ❤️

We love seeing students leading the way through service and showing what it means to give back to their community.

Tonight’s group of students and their families prepared and served a meal for the residents of Benjamin’s House. Their time, effort, and willingness to serve mean so much to us and to the people we serve.

St. Joseph School has shared this spirit of service with us before, and we are so grateful to see another group of students continuing that tradition. What a wonderful example of students learning that service is not just something we talk about, it is something we do.

Students are leading the way in service! 🙌❤️

Thank you, St. Joseph School students and families, for spending your Sunday evening with us and helping make Benjamin’s House feel a little more like home.
We are grateful for you!

💕 A New Beginning for Mom & Daughter 💕

We have a very special mom and her sweet little daughter who are getting ready to move into their new home, and we would love our community’s help making sure they have the things they need to get started.

They have worked hard to get to this point, and while we will miss them more than they know, we are so incredibly proud of them and excited for this next chapter. ❤️

We are still working to gather a few household essentials:
- All-purpose cleaning supplies
- Sponges
- Dish soap
- Laundry detergent
- Dishwasher pods
- Toilet paper
- Dish towels
- Shower curtain
- Shower curtain rings
- Hangers
- Toaster or toaster oven
- Tall dresser(s)
- Two nightstands/end tables

🛒 Want to help? Items can be purchased through our Amazon Wish List and sent directly to Benjamin’s House for them. Please include “M&D” in the gift note so we know the items are for this family. You can also purchase items locally and drop them off at Benjamin’s House. Please mark them “M&D” so we can make sure they get to the family. If you are not sure, you can also donate gift cards in their name to local businesses so they can continue to fill their new space as item needs present.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace - WI, Chippewa Valley is help by providing a bed for our little sweet child, but we can still use one full-size bed in good condition if anyone has one available for mom.

If you have questions about donating an item or the bed, please call Benjamin’s House in advance at 715-736-2437.

Every little bit helps make this transition a little easier. Thank you for helping us send this mom and her little girl into their new home surrounded by the things they need and the support of a community that cares. ❤️

We are so proud of you, M&D. We will miss you more than you know!

☕️ Happy International Coffee Day! ☕️

Here at Benjamin’s House, we have an extra reason to celebrate. We are incredibly grateful for our local Starbucks in Rice Lake and the many ways they give back to our community.

Starbucks is not only an annual donor to Benjamin’s House, but they also provide us with weekly food recovery. Those ready-to-go sandwiches and meals are incredibly helpful for the people we serve.

For someone who is newly arriving at the shelter, having an easy meal available can make a big difference as they adjust to a new routine. A sandwich to grab on the way to work or school, something to pack for lunch, or an easy meal while settling into shelter life may seem like a small thing, but it provides one less thing for someone to worry about.

That is what we love about International Coffee Day. It is a reminder that the places we visit every day can be part of something much bigger than a cup of coffee. ☕️

So today, consider stopping at one of our local coffee shops here in Rice Lake and supporting a local business. When you shop local, you help strengthen the community we all share.

Thank you to all of our local businesses and community members who make the work we do possible.

We are so grateful. ❤️

If you want to learn more about food recovery, or help us pick up or weekly donations -- give us a call! We have Monday pickups open and ready for you!
