Parents and guardians, give your 10th or 11th grade student a chance to build confidence, leadership, and powerful public speaking skills! The Vernon Bragg Jr. Rialto Toastmasters Club is hosting its 16th Annual Vernon and Odessa Bragg Youth Leadership Speech Contest on March 7, and we’re inviting students to register now. Toastmasters is a non-profit organization that provides educational programs for both adults and youth to enhance public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. This is an incredible opportunity for students to gain real world experience and showcase their voice. Applications are due February 13, so don’t wait, help your student step up and be heard!

Join us Tuesday, May 6 for Tall Tales, stories that are greatly exaggerated with unbelievable elements. The ‘tall’ is used to describe an ‘obvious extension’ from the usual meaning. A Tall Tale should have some believability and not be a complete fantasy - i.e dragons and Wizards. The Tall Tale Speech Contest often replaces the Humorous Speech Contest in many Districts.
