This Saturday the San Bernardino Valley Young Marines joined Units of the Southern California Regiment for a joint land navigation course. The Young Marines learned the fundamentals of land navigation and terrain association while having a fantastic time and building lasting bonds with one another. Overall great job Young Marines 👍🏾. Oooorahhh!!!

San Bernardino Valley Young Marines would like to give a big shout out to YM SGT Giron, Sabrina for graduating the Senior Leadership School and earning the Iron Maiden/Molly Marine award for a perfect PFT!

San Bernardino Valley Young Marines would also like to recognize YM GYSGT Lopez, Juliet for her graduation of Advanced Leadership School and earning not only the Iron Maiden/Molly Marine award but also ranking in the top 10 graduates for this years class.

The San Bernardino Valley Young Marines have been serving San Bernardino County since the early 1990s. No matter how big or how small the Unit was, the Young Marines always found reason to continue service and inspire youths of all ages.

Before anyone can be a Young Marine, they must first complete Recruit Training where they will learn our values of discipline, leadership, and teamwork while upholding the Marine Corps values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

Upon the completion of set requirements, a Young Marine will be able to apply for our S.P.A.C.E.S. Programs. These programs range from leadership schools to scuba programs. These programs are designed to challenge the Young Marine as well as teach them a new skill or educate them in the history of our Country.

Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, the Young Marines go to drill which is a day of training that focuses on Drug Demand Reduction, Physical Fitness, Ceremonial Drill, and outdoor survival. As a Young Marine, the youth will learn a variety of subjects that will help shape and influence prosperity in an individual while at the same time gaining rank.

The Young Marines is a nation wide program, every year units get together and host competitions for the Young Marines to see who can take home the title of Number 1 Unit!
