The family of two of our officers has grown with the arrival of a boy and a girl. Sgt Richie has become PeePaw Richie, with the birth of Lyla Rose Richie to his son Coby and fiancé Alexis at 9:58 pm, weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces. Cpl Austin is now a great uncle again, following the birth of Asher Gene Garst to his niece Kiersten and her husband Trevor at 12:25 pm, with Asher weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce. We welcome Lyla and Asher into the family.

If you can find it in your heart to support this family, it would truly mean a great deal.

Officer Cainan Drew has proudly served with the Fort Worth Police Department for over 17 years. He is a dedicated member of their SWAT team, but even more importantly, he is a devoted husband and father. His wife, Haley, also serves our community as a deputy with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Cainan and Haley have consistently gone above and beyond in service to others. Each Christmas, they organize efforts to raise money for families in need — including one year when they raised enough to purchase a vehicle for a single mother. They have always stepped up for their community. Now, they need us to step up for them.

While doctors are still working to determine the exact type of cancer Cainan is facing, he remains strong in spirit, leaning on his faith, his family, and the support of those around him as he fights this battle.

Any donation — large or small — makes a meaningful difference. Most importantly, please keep Cainan, Haley, and their family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Our son, Cainan, has spent his entire adult life serving and protecting others. For 17 years, he has proudly served as a Fort Worth police officer. He is a devoted husband to Haley...

The Rhome Police Association expresses sincere appreciation to the Decatur Police Department's dispatchers for their daily contributions to our safety and informed community. Their consistent excellence is truly commendable, and specific instances like January 13 and the early hours of January 14 highlight their exceptional commitment. Notably, during the state interface's downtime, Telecommunicator Linker demonstrated outstanding capability, efficiently handling dispatch duties for three cities while embodying the highest level of professionalism and dedication.
