Cybermissions serves Christ by providing a feast of spiritual food for those who can least afford to access it (based on Luke 14:12-14 and similar passages). We accomplish this by providing free and low-cost grass-roots theological education to the emerging world’s Christian leaders. As many as 90% of African pastors have zero theological education, not even a single subject. Our goal is to provide them the training they require, at a price they can afford, on a device they already own (often just a mobile phone or radio), in formats that they can understand and use, and in way that the training can be freely distributed from person-to-person.

I have just put together a free 40 page ebook about religious freedom, the end of legalism, being liberated by God's grace and so on. It is called Herod's Temple and it started with the simple observation and a question:

“Why was John the Baptist out in the Wilderness instead of serving in the Temple, since he was the son of a priest?” His father, Zachariah, was a priest and a Levite, and John the Baptist was the eldest and only son, therefore he should have taken his turn to officiate at the altar. Instead, John was down at the river Jordan. He was baptizing people who had repented and telling them that their sins were forgiven; “a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins” (Mark 1:4) . Wait!! Isn’t that the job of the temple priest? Should not have the Israelites been going up to the Temple to have their sins forgiven by offering sacrifices? Instead they were going to be baptized by the prophet instead!
