Boy Scout Troop 279 Boy Scout Troop 279 is a solid boy scout troop with a long-standing leadership team. We also have a girls troop 7279 that meets at the same time.

Our troop is scout-led, extremely active, regular campouts, over 50 Eagle Scouts under this scoutmaster! Boy Scout Troop 279 is a solid Boy Scout Troop with a long-standing leadership team. Led by the same Scoutmaster of 25 years, this troop has produced over 50 Eagle Scouts under this tenure. This troop is Scout-Led, meaning the scouts themselves lead the meetings, plan the campouts, etc., as Boy

Scouts is designed. This philosophy of scouting teaches leadership abilities. We meet every Monday at the Banquet Hall of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Reynoldsburg. We seek to build character, teach scouting skills, and produce the finest scouts and citizens of Reynoldsburg and the surrounding areas. Please visit our troop any time in person! Tonight May 4th 2026 Nate Collins, Hudson Collins, Isabel Sheridan, Nick Heil, Nolan Collins and Austyn Wright were awarded Boy Scouts of America’s highest honor of Eagle Scout. They mark the 81st, 82nd, 83rd, 84th, 85th and 86th scouts to earn the rank of Eagle in my 28 years as Scoutmaster and our Troop’s 132nd, 133rd, 134th, 135th, 136th and 137th Eagle overall.
