Sunday October 27th from 1:00 to 4:00 pmParty and Members gathering of Friends of Historic Grooms Tavern. You are invited to this party to celebrate our successful year and mark the start of a new project, Heritage Square. If you are not a member, you can easily join at this event. The Tavern will be open for a self guided tour with docents ready to answer your questions and provide a brief history.
John Scherer will talk on Clifton Park's Heritage Square. The Town of Clifton Park will form the Heritage Square on Sugar Hill Road, which will include the Grooms Tavern and adjoining Blacksmith Shop, the Mohawk Valley Grange, and the newly acquired property between them. This is an exciting time for historical preservation and this new property will facilitate new social and educational events.
