The Lincoln County Historical Society together together with our Lincoln County Commissioner will be hosting Lincoln County's America 250 Celebration on June 20, 2026 at the Lincoln County Museum inside and out and the Lincoln County Court House Lawn in Shoshone, Idaho. This day-long celebration will focus on educating children and families about the historical significance of America's 250th anniversary through storyboards, music and speakers who will bring our nations, state & local history to life.

Join Idaho Public Television at the Warhawk Air Museum for a special community screening of the Ken Burns docuseries, The American Revolution. This free event features curated excerpts from the film followed by an interactive Q&A session with Dr. David Walker, a Boise State University professor specializing in military history. Attendees will explore the military strategy and historical impact of Americaโ€™s founding struggle.

The final webinar in our series, โ€œHow to Get Published in Nontraditional Outlets,โ€ is Tuesday, June 2, at 6pm ET! Speakers Cornelia Lambert (Acquisitions Editor, Nursing Clio), Hayley Noble (Public Historian and Freelance Writer), and Stacie Taranto (Editor, Made by History series) will offer expertise and advice on publishing in nontraditional outlets like peer-edited and features.
