2nd Life Flowers

Hi! I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Susanna and I recently was asked to head up the 2nd life flower project when BYUI isn’t in session. I love flowers, so this has been the most amazing opportunity for me! I’m originally from Rexburg, but moved away for 20 years. Now I’m back and so excited to be able to serve the Seniors in our area with beautiful flower arrangements. I’d love to invite anyone who also loves flowers to come join me in arranging. The dates I’d love some helpers are:
•August 18th
•August 25th
•September 1st
•September 8th
•September 15th

I start arranging on each of these dates. And generally try to deliver the flowers by noon to the Senior Center and Homestead. This is such a great opportunity to serve and connect with members in our community. It’s a beautiful process of love, creativity, connection, and community. Thanks to BYUI flower classes for doing flowers during the school year and special THANK YOU to SUSANNA PETERSON for taking over the flowers during summer and school breaks. She is also the new admin for this page. And Thanks to all the volunteers who have helped with the flowers over the years.

We need someone to organize volunteers and supervise our project from mid-July to mid-September. We have been blessed by the assistance of BYU Idaho's student floral arranging classes during the school year. Elaine Merrill who founded the service project is looking for an individual or a team to supervisor for the project during summer , Christmas, and spring breaks. She is no longer able to do so due to health and mobility limitations. Second life flowers has been a wonderful service to the seniors in our community please help to keep the flowers on their tables every week of the year. HELP! We need Volunteers on Monday December 16th, 23rd, 30th and January 6th.
BYU Idaho's floral class has done a WONDERFUL job with the flowers Fall semester. But I could really use some help during Christmas break. We will be doing arrangements from 10 am until "finished". Address : 11 W Sunset Circle Rexburg.

Because of travel plans 2nd Life Flowers will be managed by one of the floral classes at BYU Idaho from September 20th until November 20th. We will again be looking for volunteers after our return

2nd life flowers needs volunteers to help with flowers on Mondays Location: 11 W Sunet Circle Rexburg.
Any help would be appreciated. We can work around your schedule given advanced notice. phone 808-293-2521
We pick up donated flowers at 10 am. on Mondays. If I am working alone I usually do the flower arranging in two or three different "shifts" with a break. When I have help work can often be finished in two hours. I usually ask people to come at either 10 am or 1 pm. If I know I have someone coming I can work around their schedule.

We are still looking for volunteers any week you are available.

We have a special need for someone to take over management of the flower arranging for a couple of months in the fall .

Starting February 19th we will be arranging flowers starting at 1 PM. .. this is a change from our pervious morning schedule.
If know ahead that there is a service group interested we can arrange to postpone arranging until later or early evening in the day on Monday.
